Hi! Mostly I feel ready, but I've had a few momentsof "What am I doing"? I hope I don't have a panic attack right before surgery! I started my liquid pre-op diet on Sunday, not too bad, but my teeth miss chewing! I keep brushing them to make them feel better.

Awe, yeah i know what you mean. I would say more than anything, I am ready. Of course, I am a little scared, a little nervous, anxious, excited. But, I feel so amazingly blessed that I get this chance to turn my life around. I have been 'obese' for so long & have tried so many diets and failed failed failed. I keep thinking in the back of my mind that this will fail too. Even though I know it won't. I have a pretty big advantage too, I am young and have a lot of muscle. So, I have no physical limitations as far as working out goes. I think if anything I will become one of those exercise junkies. Hopefully anyway.
I think the fears of old habits slipping back are very real. But, don't let it happen. Ya know? Stand your ground. :0)

Thanks. Just make sure to do yoru research, pay attention to your surgeon's requirements and by all means, if you ahve a question, don't be afraid to ask... None of us are perfect- especially in the area of wiegh management or we wouldn't be in the shape we are(were) prior to researching surgery.. Keep positive thoughts..Amy

Hi! I am in SC.....about 3 hours or so from you.

Im still only about 11 days out so I cant give you much advice. I just went with what my surgeon and I decided on. I decided it was the right choice for me. I cant really tell you much more than that. I start eating reg food on Monday so I wont know much until a few months down the line.
