Hi, I am new to TT, and just attended my orientation tonight. I am not sure how to decide which doctor to go with and I noticed that a couple of you went with Higa or Boone. Dr. Felix did the orientation and I was impressed with him as well.... any suggestions?

I also had Dr. Higa. I liked him alot. How much have you lost. I feel I am not losing enough!

Oh boy, you will overcome the food addiction. Just stick with it. You are right, in a month or so you will have everthing in order. I'm praying for you now.
Things are going as good as expected. I called the benefits adminstrator at the union hall and she was a little rude but shared some valuable info. She stated unlike what I have been told before, they DO NOT make the decisions at the hall and WLS is a covered benefit and as long as I completed the pre-surgery requirments I WILL BE APPROVED. It's just a matter of time for the company that adminsters our health benefits to wake up and call my surgeon. I hope it's in the next week. I have to wait till after 5/15 for surgery due to prior obligations but after that it's a GO. Hey, read my thread (Folks, I need to share my Joy with you). I have some good news about my mom.......

Hi Angie- congrats on the surgery - hope you are doing well. I read your post about being hungry- maybe its emotional hunger? I have heard that after surgery many people have a hard time differentiating between "head hunger" and stomach hunger.... just a thought.

Hi Angie, I just saw your thread about post-op. First of all, Congratulations! Glad you are home and I will be praying you heal up without any problems.

That's funny you don't have a pre-op liquid diet. I was told to do a liquid diet with one meal each day being a lean protein and veggie for 2 weeks pre-op. I've heard some say it was 2 weeks of just liquids. I decided to folow the diet to lose a few quick pounds for the insurance "man". I was bad last night and I've been kicking myself all day.....I had a small portion of spahgetti for my "real" meal. Why do we kick beat ourselves down? Shame on me!

Hello, How are you doing today? I'm OK right now. I have my last PCP visit next THursday and I am on the liquid diet to try and lose a few pounds. My surgeon said it looks better to the insurance company if you lose weight prior to surgery. If I could lose the weight without surgery I would do it......What the heck? Anyway, I'm pretty moody and not a nice person right now. It's funny how food is so addictive.
