I am searching this forum, reading everything, taking it all in...preparing myself for whatever, everything, and hoping that I will have minimal pain and minimal complications. It's exciting. I cannot wait to be an 'after.' I think I said that before.

Well, one more day down four more to go. It is very difficult sticking with the two fast. I dread the protien products and yet I know how important they are to my body. I have slipped here and there. Last night, I was at a gathering of like minded people (dachsund owners) and the person who leads the group is a chef and he makes some wonderful meals. I ended up eating a little bit but I felt guilty. I hope that I can fast that food out of my body before the surgery! I wonder if other addicts who...

I need a place to find support of people who know. I am so very afraid and nervous. Will I be sick? Someone tell me it is not so bad. I have not told many friends. I am not sure how people will respond. When I first began inquiring, I had people say, "Well, diet and exercise, nothing can take its place." People did not know how to respond, I could see it in there eyes. It makes me feel like a failure because I could not do it by diet and exercise.
