Sorry I took so long to reply to your message you sent me.
I see your surgery is coming up pretty quick.
My surgery went well, and it wasn't as bad as I had expected it to be. I was really excited! I remember going in the day of surgery and they put an IV in and asked me some questions, and then I was wheeled into the OR. There were a lot of people in there and it was very cold. They got me laying down, and then I went to sleep. When I woke up I wasn't in any pain at all, and I just wanted to sleep. I slept until about 7pm that night, and then off and on the next day. I napped a lot, and didn't have any energy. I went for a few walks, and worked with my water. The nurses were nice, and they helped me the whole time. I had some pain on the 2nd day but they gave me more medicine for it. After your surgery you might feel like "oh why did I do this?" but that is really normal. I had wished they would just put me back to the way I was, but it only lasts for a little while. Once the first week goes by, it gets a lot easier. I'm 3 weeks out now and I feel fine, no pain, and I can even sleep on my stomach again. I'm glad I had surgery, and I would do it again in a heart beat. My only regret right now is not drinking much water in the beginning. I wound up being hospitalized again because I was very dehydrated, and stayed in the hospital for another 3 days to fix it. So just make sure that you really drink your water and you'll be fine.

Good luck! and be sure to let me know if you have any other questions and I'll try to be a little quicker at answering this time.

What hospital are you having your surgery done at?
