i just saw your comment on my blog. thanks for the support.
i'm in the very beginning stages of this whole process. i go for my group informational meeting on the 16th, and things should start moving from there. i was told from my PCP that, if i keep up with my appointments, it should be about a two month process...which is in keeping with what i have heard from some of the other people who have the same insurance i do.
what about you?
i start my pre op liquid diet on the 13th and my supplements and vit. now..he said my egd looked bad so he put me on prilsec 2xdaily and i have a hernia he said he'll fix in surgery...so other than that i'm just researching proteins and getting my ducks in a row lol
dr barker is great, staff is great, the whole bunch there has it together and i really like them. i've been with dr b since 2007, which is when i first started going to him. i was looking at the lap band first. i've had a bunch of friends get it and i was looking into getting it as well. i didnt get it and i decided to see how they did over time with it. well another friend had the gastric bypass and has done very well..everyone i know has went to dr b so i decided to go back to him and we talked about the gastric bypass. he felt like that was what would work better for me and completely agree. so went in on 10-6 submitted on 10-15 approved on 10-22 have surgery 11-23. so i'm very excited, talked to him today for a final visit before surgery and everything is on schedule. thats pretty much the time line..let me know where your at in the process
