Hi Amber,
Havent been on this site for ages, so thought I would just catch up with you.
Did you end up having your surgery? If so, how did it all go? If not....when?
I have tried to be ultra patient with jumping through the hoops the surgeons set, and so far I have seen the dietician and had the doppler scan, the next appt. is to see the pyschiatric profiler (shrink) which is booked for 21st May, then a follow up appt on 2nd June to see my surgeon....I hope at that point I will be put on the pre op diet.
Hi Amber,
This is the 4th message I have attempted to send to you today....so getting bored now.
I live in the Romford area of Essex.
The tests the surgeon wants me to have are a doppler scan, a psychiatric profile and to see a dietician.
I have the dietician appt for next Monday 25th Feb as well as seeing Mr Hashemi again..not sure why, but will have more info next week I guess.
Have you been given a pre op diet? If so, what is it? Clear soup? YUK
Fingers crossed you get this mail
I am a newcomer from the UK, but felt I had to send you a brief message as I could relate to your feelings 100%.
I am awaiting various tests my surgeon wants to carry out first, and if they come back ok, he has agreed to do a gastric bypass. When is your surgery? April or June?
Anyway, let me tell you..all I can talk about is bypass, I am eating, sleeping, dreaming bypass. I am completely obsessed with going on and on about it. I am pretty much an obsessed sort, every thing I do is extreme. So I have done the research and read up so much now, I just dont know what I will do if the tests are done and the surgeon decides against it...I will be distraught I know it.
Anyway, I dont think you are abnormal worrying, unless I too am round the bend, which could be the case. who knows? My health is suffering, my knees are shot to pieces with arthritus as well as my spine.
