Vegas is definitely Disney Land for Grown-ups! The town blows me away, and I would be very up for a group descent on Sin City.

We DO definitely need some Stapler Sisters time. I was thinking that we could plan a day of rest and decadence at Glen Ivy, just a little over an hour north on the 15. It's reasonable, fun, and the food they make there is fresh and healthy. It also is not overpriced. I've been there a whole bunch of times--who wants to go? I also have my rv--everyone could ride in the same vehicle, which has a potty....thoughts, anyone?

You ladies look like you had a blast. It brings joy to see there is life after being MO. I am still fighting to get there but it sure helps to see you ladies enjoying life. Remember what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas (hey what do I know I have never even been).

Smile Dara..........

I am so glad to see your beautiful face! Looks like you had a blast in Vegas! I cant wait to go again someday.
I have missed seeing you around, and Kim as well. I too dont make it here often, it is very overwhelming with all the new people in here, who could keep up? I vanished for a few months but have been sneaking in a bit and reading some posts.
It is great to see you again! You still look fabulous as ever!!! My daughter said to say hello to you , she still remembers you from the hospital!

Talking Thanks!

To all of you:

Thank you so much for the support and compliments. I hope the pictures of our trip can be inspiration to the new post-ops that life is fabulous after WLS...even for two old married ladies.

I've missed chatting with all of you too. I've been lurking a lot, but just can't seem to get into posting when I look at the amount of information I have to absorb at one time. Sheesh! So many posts, so little time.

Regardless, I hope you all know that I'm still your biggest fan in your journey to health, happiness and skinny-dom.

God bless you all in your quest for healing and your dreams. It CAN happen.

An RV party???? That would be a new experience for me. Last year I drove...so I couldn't have any fun until we got to Sin City. How much faster can we get there when you don't have to worry about potty breaks

I have no idea how long it would take, as we compensate for no potty breaks with being an RV that can't zip along. We'd have to camp at Circus Circus

My "coach" is 29' long and can snugly sleep 8. Ya know, we wouldn't HAVE to go to Vegas in the RV. There are nice parks by the ocean (I like Silver Strand myself). I'm thinking that if we could get another rv to join us, it could be a fun time.

I'm still very interested in going up to Glen Ivy--they have a website, go check it out. www.glenivy.com.

I went to Vegas last July and it was so bad. It was my first trip with Chad and I couldn't walk like he could. We walked all day and I was in so much pain. I was over 350 and that is a lot of weight to carry around. It was a real turning point for me. Two weeks after I got back I put in the paperwork to get WLS. I can't wait to go back a new slimmer me and walk all over that town

It looks like you had a great time! You girls look wonderful!
