Arrow One Year!

I just can not believe I am already at my One Year Aniversary! What an amazing year it has been. I have disapeared from the forrum and am not as active as I used to be. But when I was a pre-op and also post-op I was always looking at pictures for inspiration. So I wanted to share my pictures with those looking to have surgery!

It has not been the easiest year, I have to admit. I had a very bad spell of depression. Not just from the surgery, but I moved out of state 6 months after I had surgery. So I left all my friends and family behind, and my support group with Dr. Callery. I had no computer so I lost all my support from the forrum as well. Then to top it off when I got here I stopped loosing weight. And since I have moved, I have only lost 30-40lbs. Had I of been able to turn to the forrum for support, I probably would have not been in such bad shape!

So this year I have lost aprx. 140lbs. I have also lost 80-90 inches. I will measure in the morning before work, so I will post that at a later time! I am so amazed how this surgery has worked for me! It really is a tool. I now have to work at loosing my last 50lbs. Had I of had a personal trainer, or excercised on a regular basis I am sure I would be at goal. I am dissapointed that I am not where I want to be but on the other hand I am so pleased with where I am as well.

A year ago tonight I was preparing to go into the hospital. I still remember who came to visit me. Bridget, Kim and Dara. You were my little angles and I thank you still a year later for answering so many of my questions and making me feel welcome into the stapler sister world!

Hi there.......the first thing I want to say is that if you ever don't own a PC again......go to your public library. You can use them free here in Ohio with your library card. So, don't ever leave us again. Now, that said, you look fantastic!! I'm glad you sound out of your slump, and I'm sure moving like that was very hard after surgery. I can't imagine my life without my online and offline support. Stick around this time......and welcome back.

140 lbs is freaking fabulous...don't lose sifght of how far you have come. Don't let the excuses of the move keep you from reaching your goals. Most of us don't have personal trainers and such either. Take each day one at a time and work on what you can do.

Perhaps we can start another Dr. C group in AZ...it appears several of us are ending up there!

Laura you look great, you still have that same great smile. Even though you are not here as often it is great that you still pop your head in and say hi. Glad to see your progress. Happy late re-birthday .
