Lookin good Woody & Terri. How about some recent picks of you two? How do you like Las Vegas these days? Any support groups there? The pics of your new home awhile back sure were beautiful. I'm so happy for you.

Cool Thanks Suzanne

Thanks Suzanne. I guess we're going to have to take some new ones. I haven't had much of a chance to take pictures. It's been hell around here. Briana (our 15 year old daughter) just came home after having laproscopic surgery on her overies. She has a cyst disease and endometriosis which was wrapped around a nerve. She's doing better now. The only pain is from the incisions which I'm sure others can relate to. This has been going on now for almost a month. It's been a lot of fun to deal with.... NOT....... I managed so squeeze in a colonoscopy in the middle of it all too.

But we're still enjoying living here in Vegas. The weather has been great. It's been in the 80s or near to it for the past few weeks. Great convertible weather. We haven't found any support groups around here so I'm still trying to get support with just reading posts. One of these days I'll get busier and post some more. John did a nice job with this board and the participation is great to see. I'll shut mine down eventually.

Take care, and thanks for asking.

Woody

I added a picture taken the other night. Can't get much more recent than that.

Hi Woody, Just posed a message to you and it came back, so I'll try again. I just noted that you had a colonoscopy. Can you tell me if your prep was the same as those who have not had GBS? My Mom just had one and her prep involved drinking an enormous amount of liquid. Do they modify our prep? Hope, hope, hope. Just my after 50 screening, but would like to put it behind me (yuk, yuk). Also, are they able to view the entire colon? Thanks, Anne

Default Colonoscopy

I don't think they modified my prep at all. I had to drink that yucky stuff, then follow it with tons of water. I don't see why they would make it any different for us. The water flows directly through the pouch and into the intestines. I'm just glad there was no need for a bowel prep. As for what they see, I believe they see the entire colon, but I couldn't say for sure. The whole procedure was simple and painless.

Thanks Woody, I guess I am concerned because my Mom had to drink 8oz every 30 minutes or something like that. Not even on my thirstiest days could I drink that much and not puke. Thanks for the info. Anne
