Default A friend sent me a picture today - some friend!!!

Well,

I had a visit with the NUT today...enough on that one! lol

Anyway - the official weighing put me at 144.4lb, that's a total loss of 115.1lb.

Got home (after celebrating by buying some clothes of course) to find an email from a friend who sent me a picture taken February 2007 (I was a bridesmaid). The second pic is of me with Claire and TT when they visited WA last month.

Funny, cause although I still have a problem coming to terms with a view of the new me in a mirror, the before picture is even harder to get my head around - I can't recognise myself from back then either.

Does anyone else have that problem?

My friend offered me some "before" photos... I politely declined! LOL! It is good to see how far you've come --- and to think, I knew you when!!!

WOW!

Congratulations on your great change. You're looking fantastic!

Absolutely. I don't even feel like that WAS me. I'm looking at a pic now, and I remember being there in the shot, and I remember thinking "I wish I looked like HER" (the other woman in the pic), but I don't feel like that was me. It's very bizarre. Very.

Personally, I think it's because I didn't love that person. And I love me. So...that's what I figure it's all about. Loving myself.

Corrine the Sylph!
You carried off being a large woman very well because of your smile and positive facial expression and now you are even more so - all the way down!
Congratulations on an amazing transformation!
(btw, lucky you to meet Claire!)
Cheers,
Vim

You are a beautiful woman.......before and now! You should be very proud of your accomplishments! Still, I hear what your saying....it's funny how we see or don't see ourselves...I remember just before surgery, at my daughters wedding, thinking I was overweight, but still thought I looked good!
I look at those photos now and can't recognize that person! I do feel so different now...I have so much more energy and it's much easier to get out of my own way!! See exhibit A and B and C!

Ohhhh my G-d!!!! Corrine, you look like someone else!!!! You look so much younger now, so much - well, just sensational. And I have to say that the "after" picture with me is not as flattering as how you look in person.

And congratulations, dear friend, on your weight loss. You are absolutely doing the best job, and I can't help but reflect on your journey of concern and excitement combined. I was and am privileged to have been a part of that, and I am just so proud of your journey .... and it continues.

Just think, Corrine.....just think of how life has changed for you and for me. Just think about it.

Much love,
