I dated a man 25 years older than myself, years ago. In my own experience, I soon came to realize he only wanted one thing from me.

When 'older' men are attracted to the 'young' girls ... you can bet the farm it's purely sexual.

I had a rich older guy that liked me once. He was really sweet, but I listened to my parents that told me it was a mistake.

Listen to yourself. You're 18 and allowed to make mistakes

I agree with Noonie... if you'd like to go out with him as well, then go for it, just keep your eyes open. You said he has been your favorite customer, so clearly he's treated you kindly in the past.. though.. I will admit to you now that if you were my daughter (she's 20), I'd say over my dead body! LOL.

If you do go out with him, keep your eyes and ears open for anything that might be amiss about the date, okay?

I really think that if he asks me again, I'm going to make sure he knows how old I am, find out how old he is, and if we're both okay with the difference, just go for it. I definitely won't be riding in any cars with him any time soon, just so that if anything feels off, I can leave. I've had bad sexual relationships in the past, and I'm not looking for another any time soon. To the Mom's that posted "No"s or "over my dead body"s if I was their daughter... mine pretty much said the same thing lol. But I've never really made a big mistake yet, and I think some life experience is due.

C... for the record you come across as one of the most mature 18 y/o I've seen in a long time, so if you're that way in 'real life' as well, that probably will play into how he sees you, too.

In the end, it IS up to you...I'm glad you've already decided NOT to get in a car with him any time soon. Go with your gut instinct, but err on the side of caution...
