I have updated "before" and "after" pictures. A really nice girl at the OH party on Saturday (Ronda) convinced me to let her take the traditional "after" pictures of me--front, side and back. YIKES! After she e-mailed them to me today and I checked them out, I have to admit that I do look a world better than before!

The "before" picture was taken in March of 2004 (about 250 lbs.)

My surgery was April 27, 2004

The "after" pictures were taken April 2, 2005 (145 lbs.) and April 22, 2005 (with flowers) (147 lbs.)

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your wonderful comments. This is just verification that gastric bypass works for those of us who cannot be a normal weight any other way. We CAN become the person we've always wanted to be.

I love the way I look these days, but the magic is that I FEEL so much better. All of my health issues are gone...history...kaput. No more sleep apnea. No more hypertension. No more GERD. No more incontinence. No more joint and muscle agony. I owe my life to gastric bypass surgery AND Dr. Callery. Life is good.

Thanks again to all of you. You help make life great for me.
