You know Cindy, your time is coming too and you have a girl and a boy
Spoke to DH this morning,4:30am EST*Cough, cough* not that I work or anything, and he may have internet with in 90 days.I will take it.
Told him about Nick's "Uni-Pube "and we laughed like we would if he were laying next to me.
If you guys don't mind I think I will continue to post updates on this thread, I know it is not WLS related, but not everything is 100% WLS in our lives.
Just keep me and my TWO MEN in your thoughts...I am sure the updates will be amusing no doubt.
PS~ I thought about waiting at least six months before I kindly remind my hubby that we have an 8 hour time difference..
He sounded good and loved hearing him laugh.

Amy, it's so good to know you are getting to talk to hubby! You will do great honey since you get to talk to him often.
As for your son, I think it's awesome that he feels comfortable enough to talk to you about his body and life changes. This is the type of relationship I have with my three kids and I don't think anything is private to us four. LOL I made our relationship this way though by being open with them and letting them come to me with anything. Just listen to him and ALWAYS act interested and excited when things happen. It's great to know you have a parent to support you so well in everything, especially in today's world. Your son is a lucky lil man!
On a side note, I got a phone call about 2 hours ago and on the other end, I heard the word, "Momma"? It was Shad!!!! My heart just leaped when I heard his lil voice. It's the first time I have heard from him since he left. He sounds REALLY worn out already. He said he didn't feel well. Thinks he has the flu. This did not make me feel better because I have the urge to take care of him in everything, as you can imagine, but I am SO happy I got to hear his voice and know he made it to Kuwait okay. He will be leaving for north of Baghdad on Sunday in a convoy. So don't know how long it will be before he can contact us again. The not knowing is killing me. I just wish I knew when he is supposed to get in touch with us again, so the time between contacts does not worry me so. I am trying to leave him in God's hands, but it's so hard to not put a Mom's hand in here and there to make sure he is guided in the right direction out of harms way. There are just times when we have to trust our children and God to know that they will be okay. I just love him to pieces and can't wait for him to come home already.
Keep us posted on hubby and the phone calls. It lets me know I have company in this long wait for them to come home.

If I can offer up an opinion, Ladies.
Reading your daily updates, uplifts, doubts, and courage is inspiring, soul stirring, and I feel priviledged to think that you would trust your squishy insides with us. Please both of you, please use this post to share your thoughts, fears, fluffy fantasies, rawest pain. Let us be the nonjudgemental group ears and shoulders for leaning against. Every single one of us who is a parent knows what kind of pain and fear Trina falls asleep and wakes up to. And who of us lucky enough to have a beloved could easily hand them over to enemy soldiers in enemies' lands? Your vulnerability is painful and physically taxing. I'm quite sure I speak for many of us when I say, "please, stay with us, hand your burdens off for awhile; let us join with you as you walk this long, scary time of uncertainty and dangerous situations."
Okay, so that sounds really hokey, I apologize! But please believe me when I say that I read this thread and take away with me strength and inspiration, and to please keep on posting here--we're all the better for it.

VPA and Trina -
I am honored that you would share this part of your journey with your TT fam and friends. Like Donna, I want to be there for you through the good times (like VPA's uni-pube giggle with Ran), and the sad times like Trina wanting to care for Shad while he is sick and far away. You are such a part of this family that when one of you hurt so do the rest of us.
We love you both so much...and are here for you ANYTIME you need us!!

Speaking of the Boys~
DH & son got to chat online today for about 20 mins.My son was smiling from ear to ear.Today is my first day off since DH left, I was bored and rearranged the den.
Hey Trina, FYI, Ran asked me to send him his old ruc sack..it only weighs about 6.5 lbs but because the box was huge it cost me $51 dollars
So when you send to an APO box make it little...sheeesh.I got charged the rate of a 30 lb box
Yes, T and I will keep this our blog on our boys.
Love ya T,
Thanks for all the kind comments guys
PS, Look how happy Nick's face looks...you could use his dimples to eat ceral out of.Warmed my heart.
