Default New plus size clothing shop in Avon

I found a cool consignment shop in Avon, MA called The Shrinking Closet. It's the only plus sized consignment shop around, and although plus sized folks in all stages of weight loss (or not) are welcome, they specifically came up with the idea for people that have had surgery and are going through clothing sizes at lightning speed. Pretty good idea considering the cost of having to replace your entire wardrobe every couple months!

I haven't had surgery yet, but thought I'd put the word out that this place exists. It just opened in August.

I *totally* agree! AmVets in Randolph used to be really good too... not sure if they still sell pizza there.. we moved from Randolph um... 23 years ago!!

My kids adore Town Spa.. both kids had us bring them there for their HS graduation dinners, LOL. She's bringing me to TS to meet her new boyfriend Hubby is making me bring him home some half-baked.

(And I'm thrilled that instead of eating a whole pizza by myself that one/two slices (they're small!) is enough to keep me happy happy )

I tried to bring hubby to Lynwoods a couple of times and they were always closed for vacation or something. bummer!

My mouth is now watering..........

sorry, I just realized I totally hijacked your thread..

I didn't mean to.. I just got all excited about the food.

Yes, I'm a food addict. *sigh*..

Do you know how they work their shop? Can you just bring your clothing in or do you need an appointment for something like that? Just curious. I have some nice stuff still hanging around.

I used to live in Randolph too, until 9 years ago. I was right off of Center St., within walking distance of Lynwood.

Shrinking Closet is open Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 5-9.
And Saturdays 10-5. They advertise as having to make an appointment, but I called this past Saturday and they told me to just come on in. So it's a good idea to call first, it depends on how busy they are I guess.

Yes, but I don't think they take donations like a thrift store. It's consignment.

Here's more info (the address & phone is at the bottom):
JUST THE TICKET: First plus-size-only consignment store in state opens in Avon - Quincy, MA - The Patriot Ledger
