Hi Everyone,
My name is Nicole and I am having surgery tomorrow (March 20th). I am having it at Newton Wellsley Hospital. I am very excited but scared (I have never stayed overnight in a hospital). I am glad that there is a new Mass thread. I wanted to provide some info because I read that someone was interested in "live" support group meetings. Newton Wellsley has 2 every month and they are very open and welcoming to EVERYONE, regardless of where your surgery took place. Here is their schedule for the next few months (check out there website for up to date meeting topics). I know it is a bit far for some of you but if anyone decides to go please let me know. I won't be able to attend too much this summer (unfortunately I am required to take Chemistry over the Summer as I was just admitted to a Dental Hygiene program for Fall). but as soon as September rolls around I will be there religiously (both the community support and 0-6 month group.) it would be great to meet up and do "decafe coffee afterwards/" i have found the meeting really helpfull, and the instructors very informative (and there are tons of people who go even after 4-5 years post op). Wish me luck! I will post again as soon as I return home.

Hi there.. I think I was the one wishing for a "live" support group somewhere nearby..

Thanks for the info..one question- do you know the start times for these?

I work in Westborough till 5pm so the start time can be an issue. I can't make the support groups at B & W where I had my surgery as their start time is 6pm and there is just no way to get there before it's half over

Hi,
I believe they start at 6:30. But believe me a ton of people don't get there until 6:45.
