Sorry, no plastics here. I suggest the No Sugar Added Carnation Instant Breakfast drink. It's the cheapest. If youdon't like it, get some samples of stuff at GNC or the Vitamin Shoppe.

Default Extra-Skin

Well, I started at 242. I have hit a very long plateau and weigh between 166-168. I work out 4 days a week. I am in a size 10, some 8. So, I have "some" extra skin on my tummy. That is about it. I also had 3 children, so mine was not only from being MO, but having children. I would like to have it off, however, it is NOT THAT BAD. In my cloths, I look "normal", my tummy looks normal. My legs have a bit of extra skin at the top, but I can hide it with cloths.

I agree, Carnation sugar free is the best, get the choc., the van in awful.

Good luck to you.

Lisa

I didn't mind the vanilla too much but the strawberry... I want to vomit just thinking about it!

Thumbs up Hey All

I had my Gastric Bypass done at Newton-Welsley in 1992, one of the fist in the country done there. They are the best there. So nice to to see there is a forum now for people that have had this done. Back in the day that I had it done there was nothing like this. THis is so cool.

I know this is kind of an old thread, but just wanted to say "HI" to others here in MA...

I live and work in the MetroWest area.. I had my surgery done at B & W in Boston.. Love my surgeon, Dr. Vernon.. not at all thrilled with the last PA that I spoke with though.

Does anyone here attend any 'live' support groups for WLS? I haven't since pre-op but I'd like to.. the ones at B & W are sooo not convenient.. by the time I get out of work and drive there, the group is half over.

Hi misty and WELCOME!
I know UMASS Memorial's Weight Center has one once a month. I don't know when it is as I've never attended. lol
You can call the Weight Center at UMass (508 334 1000, ask for the weight center) and find out. That is if this would be more convenient for you. I have no idea wher you live. lol

Hey Duckie, I just realized you're in Mass....I frequently travel to the area for work (Cambridge-Boston-Natick-Lexington).
After my surgery, next time I'm out there maybe you can point me to the 'safe' restaurants.
