OMG cobra cost me $525.00 a month!! did that for 2 months and couldnt afford it anymore!!! I wish you the best of luck!!

04/11/07...Had surgery!!! my nerves were still wacky but hey i did it!!

size before surgery was 18 now size 5

Being reversed on Jan 18 I cant wait!!!!!!!!
I WAS REVESED ON JAN 18,2008 NOT EVEN A YEAR OUT!!

it works a lot like life insurance.. with life insurance - they really want you to wait at least 5 years to make sure that you are "serious" and keep the weight off. if you apply and DO get approved during that time, they give you a rating - which really makes you feel like crap. But after the 5 years you can ask for a re-evaluation. Blue cross / Blue shield has some great stuff out now - as well as a new thing called Tonik. try www.vickyknowsinsurance.com for more. I went there and got my nephew all approved up..

Actually the certificate of creditable coverage is only good for 60 days, but in this case alternative insurances need to be offered to her through Cobra. I had an HMO before I left CA, and when I took my Cobra, I HAD to be offered the PPO because Health Net's HMO is CA only...and PPO is nationwide. I would think that if she lft Sharp, and Sharp is region specific, that something needs to be offered that in comperable to what she had at Sharp that can be taken in her local area.
