Default Help me I am stuck!

Hi I am new to the forum. I have my Lap RNY GBP on 8/31/04 and I have lost an astounding 116 pounds. I still have about 50 pounds to lose and I have hit the ultimate road block. I have not lost a pound in 4 months. I havent gained anything but I havent lost anything either. I need to get the rest of this weight off. I am going into the doctor again tuesday to have a full lab panel run because I am incredibly fatigued and my body is in an extream amount of pain all of the time. I thought with losing so much weight I wouldnt hurt anymore but apprently that is not the case. Any ideas for jump starting weightloss again?

Thanks all I appreicate it~

Well Good luck on your journey. I had my surgery at St. Francis with Dr Hunter 2 years ago. I met him 5 days before my surgery and I totally loved him. He was there for me every step of the way even when I called him on a sat because I started Dry Heaving for liek 12 hours straight. Good luck and any advice or question you have feel free and ask away.

Wow, first off, a big congrats on your weight loss!! I am also not as far out as you, but as is my nature, I will offer advice anyhow. I would check with your doc, as you already are to make sure you are ok. It doesn't sound like everything is "normal". But assuming it is......go back to basics. Evaluate what you are eating......did carb snacks slide their way back in, are you eating protein, are you eating too often, too much, too LITTLE, unhealthy foods, etc. Do any adjustments you may need. Look at how you are eating......are you waiting in between eating ans drinking, eating slowly, limiting the length of time you eat, chewing well, etc. Then look at exercise. Make sure you are getting all your liquids. If all is in line, then your body is just recooping and trying to figure out what in the world that crazy lady is doing to it. Welcome to the board, I wish you all the success you want and admire all you've done.

Thanks Marty for your advice. I have looked into my diet and my fiance notices that I have been eating normally- well normally for us at least. My fiance is the opposite of me...hes trying to gain weight (hes into body building). So we have 2 opposite spectrums in our house. I will re-evaluate one more time my diet and talk to my doctor about my sever fatigue and pain. I have had to limit my exercise since I have been hurting so bad. Lately it has just gotten worse. I never felt like I ever gained full energy and lost any of my body aches and pains after my surgery. For a while they had lessed but now they are kicking back up again.

Are you relgiously taking your viamins and minerals? Low iron and B-12 can lead to fatigue and pain. When fatigued, your metabolism slows down too. It may be that you're making all the right food choices, but an underlying condition can throw you off.

I am only 6 and a half months out so I don't have good advice about jump starting weight loss.

But I did want to let you know that while I have lost 111 pounds my neck and back continue to bother me a great deal, as they did prior to surgery. I think part of the problem is not taking NSAIDs. I started Celebrex a few months ago and that has helped matters.

I also have had a lot of fatigue, which I had before surgery as well.
