I have to agree with Marie. Be sure you keep up with all your vitamins and minerals and other suppliments. B-12 can have a drastic effect on your energy level. I have also found fish oil (Omega-3) capsules to be a great help.

Keep in mind too that the calories we take in must be below the calories we burn or no weight loss can take effect.

If you had your surgery in 2004, you are probably well beyond the period that the surgery will lose the weight for you. Did your doctor tell you that you had 50 pounds to go or is that your own personal goal? At almost 2 years out, some rules of "normalcy" will apply. The key is diet and exercise.

Wow you guys are great... I really appreciate everyones advice. I am going to the doctore tuesday just to rule out anything more serious. Then I am going to go back to the basics all over again....start from scratch. Its hard for me to remember to eat sometimes because I work long hours. I am a loan processor for a large mortgage company. Since we are nationwide I have 11 Loan Officers, 1 boss and me to support the entire staff so from time to time I let my needs go to the wayside BUT that all has to change now!

Thanks Everyone!

Tianna,

I just wanted to put my two cents worth in, not because I have had the surgery, but mostly because I HAVEN'T. There's a couple of things to think about...have you had your thyroid checked? I suffer from hypothyroidism and it certainly causes a lot of fatigue, but I've often thought that sometimes my aching muscles and joints are affected by this.

Also...I have been a mortgage originator for 17 years and I know how hectic the business can be. I used to be a maniac, working 10-12 hours a day, but I finally decided that no loan, no paycheck was worth my health. Treat yourself as if you were your best friend. Take time for yourself, do what YOU need to make yourself healthy. It's too easy to get caught in closings and deadlines and forget who comes first.

I hope you mentioned your vocation/schedule to your doctor. Good luck with finding a solution!

Unhappy

Well I went to the doctor yesterday and they ran labs. Everything came back great except for my b-12 which was just a smiggen low. I will just increase my b-12 for a while to get it back in line. The doctor thinks my body pain is either form of arthritis or my body is just adjusting to being thin (this option sounds crazy to me). So shes doing xrays today and a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy as a cause of my fatigue. I wish I knew what it was. My body is just hurting all over, and I am SOOO exhausted. My thyroid came back in great shape to, no thyroid problems at all...yeah

Also.. you have to eat ENOUGH or the body will go into savingmode.

1300 calories is the minimum intake for the bodyfunktions to work.

yeah I have made sure I am eating more and really healthy foods. I am watching what I eat and taking my vitamins. They got my x-rays back today and they were clear. So they dont know why I am in pain all the time and why I am so tired...but they can perscribe me vicodin....grrr. I want to know whats wrong so I can try and fix it. So weve rules out and metabolic disorders, thyroid is good, my nutrition levels are good, no arthritis, I am not pregnant. Any suggetions on all over body pain and fatigue?

Have they checked you for viral things like epstein barr virus which can cause body aches and chronic fatigue?? Fibromyalgia can do the same, but is a diagnosis of exclusion when everything else is normal. Get on that B12 and see if it makes a difference. Good Luck
