Post gall bladder op :)
I had it removed on Monday and MAN was that a walk in the park. Minimal soreness and minimal pain from the gas they puff you up with. I was doing without pain meds by Tue afternoon, and bouncing around by yesterday. It was so easy that I'm having to remember not to lift anything heavy. What a relief it was!!!!
So here's my question to anyone minus a gall bladder. Is it supposed to alter your appetite? I have no desire for things I normally love. I'm drinking water ALL DAY everyday and still thirsty and have NO APPETIGHT. Is this post surgery normal stuff or related to my gall bladder?

I am glad your surgery went well. Be sure to take it easy. I don't have the answer to your question but I would love to have mines removed right about now if that is the case because I feel like I am always hungry.

appetite
I had my gallbladder out in January and at that time I was 2 1/2 years out from gbs. I remember not having an appetite like for a week and i remember calling the surgeon's office because i was concerned. they said it takes about a week to week and a half for it to come back due to the side effects of the anethesia.

I had mine out Monday too and I wish I was doing as well as you are. Anyway, my food tastes have totally changed and I definately have no appetite. Also, I think the thirst might be from the anesthesia. Glad you are feeling good.

I had mine out about a month ago - and for me, my appetite is actually worse.. before I was awesome with eating..and now I feel like I am constantly starving - I am having a hard time keeping things under control! I am about ready to go back to my WLS surgeon and ask what the deal is..LOL

Gall Bladder
I had the Bypass in November of 2004, and had my gallbladder out in September 2005. I don't remember if I was hungry or not but I do remember how much better I felt. The bad thing about the gallbladder surgery is that I can now tolerate naughty foods better. In small amounts, I can eat everything that I'm not supposed to eat...and sugar is my biggest problem. First it was KitKats, then it was Reese's, and now it's M&M's. If I don't get sugar...I get mean.
