Default Painful bloating and cramps

I'm relatively new to this forum, but I had a gastric bypass in Nov '04. I think i have experienced every possible side effect in terms of eating the wrong things and having an upset stomach, gas, etc. But, currently I have been painfully bloated for the past 3 days and I have a recurring cramp on my right side. I'm wondering if this is normal or something I should be concerned about. I've never been worried before, but this is the first time I've experienced this and it's lasting longer than I expected. Any ideas? Is it serious enough to contact my surgeon?

Blaoting and cramping that doesn't go away is not good. It's easier to pick up the phone now and call about it than to be rushed to the ER later.

So so true, call the doc, it's not going to do no harm.

Thank you for your responses. I'm waiting for my doctor to call me back because I called a little while ago. I didn't want to panic, but I've never felt this was for 3 days straight and my stomach is sooo tight. I will keep you posted on what I find out.
