Default stop losing weight

Well I had my 1 year post-op visit and I heard something I have never heard from a doctor. Try not to lose any more weight! Are you kidding? Has anyone ever heard such a thing?

The ridicule from being small sometimes can be a bad thing. I get told by everyone that I need to gain weight (not going to happen unless i'm holding weights... ). I came back from my plastic surgeon for the pre-op for the second go-around and to hear from the doctor that I am the "skinniest" GBS patient they have ever seen not to mention the most weight lost...they are actually going to excise not only the bootom part of my back but the top part of my back as well. They ask me to try to GAIN 10-20 lbs before surgery. It is heaven to wear a "medium" everything. World, hear me roar, "I am medium." I don't think that I will ever be thin enough but I don't think any of us will ever meet our own expectations. It's all about perception. I want to be perfect but it's not going to happen.

Lynne,
It sounds to me that he wants to make surre you stay healthy. It is bizarre to hear. My P.S. also said that to me. I still feel heavy, but at 160 I wear a 10 after my Tummy Tucka nd I still have the drains in and am all swollen. Go figure!

The "top" part is a continuation from the sides across the back horizontally (about 1 inch above the sternum (but on backside)). This will enable a "pull at the top...This is because the skin is "stuck" in-between (where the small part of the waist is) to the body more in the mid-section if that makes sense...it won't be as drastic as the bottom "body lift."
