Exclamation No longer "Morbidly obese"!!

When I did my BMI measurement this morning after my weigh in, it told me that I was no longer "morbidly obese", merely obese.... after being SO overweight when I started this process, it feels incredible to just be "obese"... although I don't even feel that way any more.... Yes, I'm shedding tears, but... very happy ones! I'm actually seeing myself as the smaller person that my husband and my co-workers tell me I am, even my doctor says I don't look the weight that I'm at... Is it skin?

I saw my PCP yesterday, the one who wrote the letter 19 months ago that over turned the 2 time denial from my insurance company to have the surgery, he hadn't seen me since I'd lost 80 pounds, he retired and moved to Hawaii, he's working here for a few months, now. I'm minus 208 pounds, he cut another of my meds in half ! Soon, I won't be taking any!!!! That's my ultimate goal!! He also said that the oxymeter reading of my feet was at 100%, the diabetes I had since I was 27 years old, over 30 years, hasn't left any neuropathy, due to the extreme weight loss!!!
Thank you God and Dr. Callery... AGAIN!!!!!

Smile Dear Heart

Sandi:

Your journey is EXACTLY why this surgical procedure was devised. Your story is the textbook for everything that is right about WLS. You know and we know that your gastric bypass didn't save your life, but it enabled YOU to save YOURSELF. Don't ever forget that YOU'RE the one who helped yourself. YOU'RE the one who has been diligent and dedicated to this. With your angel, Dr. Callery, you literally have been given a second chance at life.

Every time I hear you talk about your journey, it grips my heart. I am so happy for you...I just can't find the words great enough to express. You're a warm blanket around my heart. I know you say it's not true, but honestly...

WE'RE NOT WORTHY!!!

I love you, sweetie!

I liked Bliss Blass better! Sorta fits the way I feel when I get into a smaller size.

Sandi, you are an inspiration! Bridget talked last night about not deflecting compliments, and so I hope you will take ours to heart. Your journey has given me such hope that I too can do it. Thanks for telling us about your accomplishments!
