1. No Sugar
2. No Carbonation
3. Protein first – eat solid protein first followed by low starch veggies at each meal.
4. Eat the entire meal in 5-15 minutes, a 30-45 minute meal will allow you to eat more.
5. No liquids for 1 hour after each meal
6. Drink at least 64 oz of water or no calorie fluid every day. Water Loading 15 minutes before each meal.
7. Exercise – Walk at least 2 miles everyday.
8. No Alcohol
9. No snacking between meals – once goal weight is met, planned snacks can be used to maintain weight.
10. Take vitamins, iron and calcium everyday.
These are my rules - based on Dr. Callery's suggestions and Pouch rules for Dummies. I keep them posted where I can see them and refer to them often.
