Default 1 year follow up

Hi everybody,
I had my one year follow up with Dr. Callery Friday. I had the chance to meet with both Kelly and Dr. Callery. Here is the summary:

Weight - great told not to loose any more.
Blood Pressure - great
Vitamin Levels - great
Iron - great (was very low at 6 month)
Calcium - on the low side of normal (I will work on bringing it up)
Cholesteral - bad, very bad Could be a fluke, could be genetic could be the high protein, high fat (Atkins) diet. I will switch to a more South Beach type diet and check in 6 months.

I had a chance to thank Dr. Callery for literally saving my life and the lives of the rest of you. I also was able to arrange for a Surgical Resident that I work with to do some training with Dr. C. Got to bring up the next generation right.

Dr. Callery pronounced me a success. I lost 100% of my excess weight and have about 10 - 15 pounds of excess skin. I will give it a year to shrink and will decide then about PS.

My goals for this year are:

Maintain my weight
Increase my fitness (Run a 5K, start lifting weights)
Decrease my Cholestoral
Increase my Calcium
Support others as my as possible.

I have logged on to this site and/or the old yahoo site every week day for the last 1 1/2 years. I would never have made it without the support that I received from Dale, Suzanne, Karla, Charity, Mud, Bethie, etc....

I love you all, old and new
Mary

Smile Way to go Mary!

Good news! Thank you Mary for being here for us... one of the "founding mothers" lol. Without you I would be lost. Thanks again for everything you do for those here. Bless you.
