ok this has been hard for me. Mainly because I didn't realize I was almost out of protien mix. Is it worth driving 35miles to the local grocery store to buy some. God I hate living in the boon docks!!

Do you have any of the stuff for any of the soups on the website? If you read the pouch test website- the protein drinks are really discouraged.. they would rather you did the soups the first two days instead- the protein drinks are for snacks and maybe for breakfast- since most people don't want soup for BF.

I know what you mean about living in the boondocks though. For me, I can't even get decent protein in town.. I have to do mail order almost exclusively.

ok well i broke down and had a cup of pinto beens with melted chedder cheese. I am going to the store and buying the ing. for the ham and split pea soup. Not sure how that figures in a liquid diet plan. Bacon and ham are you guys sure this works?

It counts. and it works. My pouch is considerably 'tighter' than it was before I did this!

yep its on the site

Ingredients:
1 (4 servings per package) package Jell-O sugar-free instant pudding, any flavor
2 cups fat free milk
2 scoops Unjury unflavored protein powder

Directions:
Measure 2 cups of cold fat free milk and add two scoops of unflavored Unjury. Shake or stir until Unjury is completely dissolved into milk. Place the sugar free pudding mix in a medium bowl and slowly whisk in milk mixture. Whisk until smooth. Cover and chill.

Serves 4. Each 1/4 cup serving has 14 grams protein

(i used the vanilla protein powder that i have) it tastes like vanilla cake batter- its soooo yummy

btw kel- how are things "coming along" for you? i have alot of constipation issues myself- i've used milk of magnesea (spellings wrong) which worked pretty well for me. i also take fiber laxative pills daily. my surg said it was safe. it's the worse feeling EVER so i know how you feel. i always tell the girls i work with " never take pooping for granted" they laugh at me haha but i'm serious!!

Ok, I'm back in the office...and all caught up. Glad to see I've got some test buddies!!

Sounds like everyone is doing ok.

I did fine yesterday - keep telling myself it's just a few days, so no problem. I did find that my stomach and intestines were pretty crampy yesterday. And (sorry Kel - I know you're gonna wanna slap me) I had diareah most of the day. Part of the cleansing process I guess. I also gained a pound or two (so now we're even Kel, right?)

Food wise...I had a Muscle Milk light for breakfast, beef soup broth for lunch and cream of mushroom soup (with protein powder added) for dinner. Snacks consisted of V8 juice and SF/FF pudding with protein powder added.

The protein powder I picked up sucks. I'd gotten rid of all my other stuff from after my surgery because I couldn't stand the taste of them anymore after having them so much. Another gal here at work was banded late last year, so I passed them off to her instead of letting them go to waste. Anyway, when I went to the store I was looking for something unflavored....most of them didn't have great numbers all the way down on the nutrition label (low fat and sugar but high carbs...low carbs, sugar but also low protein...etc). So I wound up getting one that was decent on the numbers that's made out of hemp protein...hmmm...never heard of it. Well...I failed to notice that rather than being unflavored, it is 'original' flavor. It's not so great. I'm adding it to stuff, but not as much as the label calls for per serving. Just enough to add some protein, but hopefully barely taste it.

Water intake yesterday was bad. Kept worrying that it was too close to meal time (on either end) and the water would wash out what was there. Will do better today.
