Uh, wow! I don't know if boobs again will be worth all that for me. They look great on you, but man, you are scaring me.

I didn't know you were a nurse Marie. What kind of nurse are you? My specialty is neonatal intensive care, but since I was out of work, I let my NRP card lapse, so I am only doing post partum, couplet care, also I have to do cardiac most of the time. I really miss the NICU. I intend to return to it when I finally get settled in San Diego and quit this horrible commute.

I do hope you are happy with your new body, you look great!

I was doing hospice work. With everything going on, I put in my notice. I'm hoping I can get my disability extended as all the nursing jobs I'm qualified to do requiring abitlity lifting 50 lbs or perform CPR which I would think is a no-no at this point. So, really, I couldn't go back next week if I wanted to. I will see the surgeron again on Monday and ask when can I expected to get released to move 50 lbs. I would think at least another month.

As for today, I'm wearing shorts and a T-shirt! Kind of disapointing....I don't look any different in my old clothes. Even my boobies look the same as I'm still having to wear a sports bra. I can't wait until I can wear snug fitting low rise jeans and a push up bra again! I'm also getting a color and cut too...so I will lokk diffeent before long

Marie-

Isn't getting those drains out a happy day? It sure was for me when I had my TT. In another 3 to 4 weeks you will really like what was done, it takes awhile for everything to get back to normal. I am so glad I had my TT it's great to wear anything I want, even a pair of board shorts without a shirt...I can do that now and not be ashamed to be seen in public. I also like clothes that fit and show me off better than just plain old loose fitting clothes, why? Because I can now!

OK so I have some vanity now, but darn it I have worked hard to get here!

Unhappy Arghhh, does the fun ever end?????

I've developed a fever, aches, chills and the left side is red, swollen, hard, and tender. Off to see the doc in the morning. In the meantime, extra antibiotics, back on the Lortab (will treat fever and the pain) and warm compresses. This morning I was feeling good, thought the worse was over. My belly was nearly flat. My body is rebelling aganst me I guess I'm making up for having no complications post-bypass last year

Had to get the syringe and aspirate the fluid that's built up. Luckily I'm still numb so it doesn't hurt. I need to poke the site twice a day and continue to express the excess fluid. Yucky, but much better than having the drain put back in. Still running a low grade temp. Antibiotic changes to Cipro. Oh fun, fun, fun.

Marie~

Get well girl! I can't believe what is going on with you, but I can totally relate to how you are feeling. I am just dying right now because I went back to work last week....my body is letting me know to slow down and I can't seem to control my pain and swelling.

Got your call...I will try and catch up with you when my kids aren't bugging me.

Take care of yourself and rest you tiny little one!!

Default Rest what's that?

I'm not one to lay in bed all day. Plus, with the house in escrow, time to get packing. Arrange for a garage sale. Still showing to potential buyers in case escrow falls through. Gotta keep the house spic and span until the keys are turned over. I use one plate setting, then wash and dry immediately and put back in place. Make the bed everyday. Plus, I have 2 rambuncous puppies to care for.

I do rest quite bit. I've wathed a lot of TV lately. Keeping up with current events and getting tempted by infomercials and QVC/HSN/MSN......
