Default I tried to shave.....

....it's much more difficult to manuever around them things! I thought it was hard before after lsoing so much weight. I apologize in advance to those going to the La Jolla party when I flash my half- shaved, hairy armpits at everyone

Sorry that I'm going to be there to see that Marie but you know we all love you so we wouldn't care if they weren't shaved at all. It means a lot for you to just come down and spend time with everyone.

Hey, I took my measurements...I'm already smaller than before and I still have swelling that needs to resolve. My waist is back to pre-op size, but my hips are already 2 inches smaller. Wow, when the swelling goes down......

Marie & Dale,

That is too funny about the boob thing! I know when I got mine in 1991, after surgery I felt like there were boobs everywhere! It does take time getting used to them being in the way!!!! Mine are about 14 years old and still look pretty good - mine are too big to go braless - but I love them!!! Shirts are a pain to fit into at times, just invest in some safety pins!

Good luck!

Default Ho hum....

Everything is itchy. Good sign as it means I'm healing. Also getting more sensation back around the incisions. Of course, that also mean a little more discomfort as the nerves reconnect.

ANother problem with big boobies, they are heavy I have shoulder creases from the bra strap. Plus, it gets sweaty underneath the boobs too. I have to remember to pay extra close attention to keep from chafing. But they are looking really good and more natural. They are also getting more equal in shape.

I did get a smaller size of binder. Good and bad. Good, as it means I have lost some swelling and need the extra compression to help keep the swelling down. Bad as that means any weight gain is more uncomfortable.

I'm bleeding through my dressings in one place. It comes and goes. Never know when it may act up. I have to keep extra dressings with me. I've had it happen where I was at a resturant and happen to feel something wet behind me and when i got up, I had bled through my clothes. When I had left the house, there was no bleeding at all. And it's old blood that's coming out, which is ickier to deal with. It's good that it's coming out vs staying in my body. Nonetheless, it's gross.

Marie-

It was good to see you yesterday. You look very good, great to be exact. My wife and I commented about it on the way home how brave you were to be there.

Thanks! I need all the encouragement I can get and a litle reality check that what I'm going through is normal stuff. Frustrating, but normal.

Default I'm freeeeeeee!!!!

Got the second drain out. I feel sooooo much better. Hated them things. I go back on Monday and hope I don't need to get tapped. My swelling is lopsided, mostly on the left. But, at least now I can wear shorts again, when I can find any that fit!

Default Marie,

I got shorts that were totally miss marked. I'm saving them for you. I couldn't fit these shorts past my knees. They should totally fit you, my itty bitty friend. I got them at the $5.00 store for .99 cents. Can't beat that!
