is 2 months out too soon to do a 5 day pouch test???? I think I can eat too much and I crave carbs like crazy. I also graze some days and have alot of trouble getting in my protein and water.

Yes I think 2 months is too early. That's what I've been told.

I'm on day 2 now and am really surprised that I haven't been too hungry. Yesterday I probably only consumed about 600 calories total compared to my usual 1500+ nowadays. Today has been going well, I have a headache, but that is from my monthly "friend" being in town and working long hours.

Thanks again for this, I'm hoping it really works.

I'm really back up to about 218 now. Yea...I've put on a lot of weight since I had my gallbladder taken out 2 years ago I've also switched my birth control 3 times in the past 6 months and that screwed my body up. I'm just ready to get back down to at least 170.

Well I'm on day 5 now and couldn't be happier. I cheated a little bit by eating some carbs, but not a lot compared to before. I've been working really long days and no carbs were making me so tired!

I've lost about 4 pounds this week and have re-trained myself how to eat again. Thank you so much for this! I made a burger w/ no bun last night for dinner and was stuffed by the end of it.

I am so glad to see this working for other people! I've started my 5-day pouch test (or what I think is more of a "reset") today. I can't wait to feel like I am back in control.

I have missed several things since I broke my healthy eating habits; I miss NOT missing foods....I used to be able to look at anything-french fries, ice cream, etc. and not have the tiniest urge to take a bite...I miss my skinny clothes, and I miss making people squirm at meals because I eat so little compared to everyone else. LOL! I know that sounds weird, but after always being so self-concious about being overweight and being judged by people, it gave me a great satisfaction when I had surgery and only ate tiny portions while everyone else piled food on their plates. I loved watching everyone else feel that guilt that I always felt, while I had absolute control over my few ounces of food. Talk about guilty pleasure!

Default hope this works

I will be starting this as soon as I get more protien powder. 3:30am now and I will be getting the stuff today and starting Friday. I have felt like a failure since I have gained back about 70 pounds (surg. date was in July of 1996. I feel like I am back to my old eating habits including hideing and eating food in my room while watching TV. I know that everyone says not to do this but I have such a horrible relationship with my mom and she is usually in the kitchen or family room. Everytime I eat something no matter what (it can be a grape) she either shoots me looks that could kill, or starts in with little comments about how I could lose wt, How much better I looked a few years ago ect I it is hard for me to even be in the same room with her. I am on disablility and am trying to find an apartment of my own or a person who needs a roommate but I can not afford many places. So I need to deal with it. I know most of my eating is emotional. I hope this works!!!

I'm on Day 5 of the Pouch Test and it has been a wonderful experience! Not that it wasn't difficult...but the sense of empowerment I have again over my eating and life feels amazing. And it has really worked. I can tell that I've lost weight because my eyes look larger.

On the first two days of liquids only, I kept myself very busy by cleaning and organizing my house nonstop, so I have the added benefit of that on top of getting control back!

To answer someone's previous questions, I too had diarrhea these past few days.

Note: This is the second time I've done this 5 Day Pouch Test, and the first time it didn't work. I don't know why.

So glad to have found this. I am 6 years out and have gained back about 50 pounds (had 2 twin pregnancies with total bedrest). I hope to try this next week. I have begin to question if I have stretched out my pouch at times. It wouldnt hurt to go back to proteins and cut out alot of carbs either. I do have a quick question.

I read somewhere that after doing this people can sometimes desensitize themselves to sugar again. Has this happened to anyone? I need to cut my sugar again. I dont eat alot but I dont dump like I used to either.
