I Hit My Ultimate Goal Today So 119 Bye Bye
I just have to come and toot my own horn. I didn't come here when I hit the century club, I didn't come here for my rebirthday, but I am coming here today to express to all the newbies, IT WILL HAPPEN. Dr. Callery had set the goal of 119 pounds for me. I did get to 121, I felt skinny, and looked good, but I feel better at 124-126 or so. My ultimate goal has always been to get into my favorite jeans from 1984. My first husband bought them for me to come home from the hospital after giving birth to my second baby, (lol, pig). I didn't wear them home, but when I fit in them they were the bomb. I tried them on at 121 pounds and couldnt get the snap to snap. This morning after thinking that maybe I should strive for the goal of 119, but I reminded myself that the numbers never mattered before surgery, my goal was to wear these pants because they are my favorite, and because I was a healthy weight when I wore them. They are on now, snapped, and I didn't have to lay down in them. The pockets are tucked in nice, and my butt looks good. I am happy, and I will wear them around the house, but I probably will never wear them outside because of the roll of skin at the top, but I met that ultimate goal today, and I wanted everyone to know. These pants are size 9. Funny I wear a size 4-8 no problem but these 9/10 just wouldn't snap. How odd is that? Anyway, it will happen for all of you, but not today, time changes everything and we with time. I hope and pray that each of you hit your ultimate goal, no matter what the surgeon says your goal is, doesn't mean it is right for you. I cut off my pannus and I am underweight no matter what the goal is. These pants have been my goal since before I ever heard of the surgery. They are tighter on me than any thing I have in size 4-8, go figure.
Thanks for listening.

Congrats on getting the pants on. I'm sure it feels awesome. I have a pair of jeans that I also want to get in. I haven't tried them on in months. Maybe I'll do it tonight.

Yes it does! Brings a little brightnes to my darker world these days.
How are you feeling Pam? I have thought of you so much. I was thankful to hear that the surgery went well. I know it must be a relief to get that repair done.

Thanks Jeanie, yes try them on tonight, if they fit woohooo, if they don't, neatly fold them back and try again next month. Just for the record, I didn't find you unfriendly or snobbish, but then again ya'll were wore out from having a good time at the beach!

Way to go Traci! I bet you feel great! I really think our personal goals are more important than the docs goals. Those are the ones that really make the difference in your life! Congratulations!!!

LMFAO, too funny, good thing you didn't. I don't know where you can find one, but when you do let us all know. I am a black clothing person myself, but when I look good and tan I do love a lil complete white outfit. (I am indian and tan very well). I have lupus though and I don't do well in the sun anymore, but I intend to get a tan this year, even if I break out in hives! In fact I sat out on my private terrace (lol, tiny apartment but nice terrace, or okay just a dang small balcony. hush!) I sat out there for a good 15 minutes, got a lil tan around my watch, and I didn't break out in hives.
Lets have a WHITE NIGHT! Then a BLACK NIGHT! See if we get danced with more in white or black! Just kidding, unless you like the idea! LOL!

You are so right Amber! My mama always wanted me to be a nurse because I took really good care of her as a child while she was ill. My goal was always to be a mother, didn't care if a husband was there, mama said I had to have a husband to have a baby, I believed her, lol, oops. I had to work a few times, and only thing I could do was hospital work. I didn't want to be there. I didn't like it. But I was good at it. I went in the Army and found love and happiness.
Sixteen years after her death I graduated from RN Program, because I realized mama was right, I was a good care giver, and I didn't know how to do anything else, after a divorce, well, money motivated me to make a new goal for myself, it was much more sweeter that my mama who had left me many years before, had realized something in her young child. I wish she could see me now!
