Congratulations on meeting your goal! You must have been so excited to wear your favorite jeans from...1984!!! Wow!

I have a pair of jeans that I keep trying on each week. I am probably about 10 pounds away from wearing them comfortably. They are a size 8, and they are a few years old as well.

I wonder if the size difference has to do with the fact that our clothing sizes in the western world are getting larger and larger? I guess all kinds of clothing are cut differently and just fit differently on our bodies.

I think the sizing is very different then in the "old days", most of the things from back then dont fit as well, but back then I guess I was different, with firm body and nice breasts. I do like the stretchy styles these days, I hate anything tight around my stomach, and I am mortified at the thought of my enormous pannus being unmasked.

They aren't near as hot as I remembered them being. I wore them out one day, and I felt very uncomfortable. They are tight, just the way I used to wear them, but I can't deal with it anymore. LMAO, I am getting old, I just realized how old I am when I looked at your age. I graduated from high school in 1975

Yep, I was two years old when you graduated.... Born in 1973, graduated in 1991.

I'm feeling my age, too. I know I'm a youngun', but I've already started saying.."I just don't understand kids these days...."

Very sad...

I can't believe I slipped down to 115 pounds! I don't care if I ever where those jeans again. I went to the back to wash my scrubs, and I found a dress that my daughter probably cannot fit in and if she can I am thinking she ought not be wearing it out! It was adorable, no straps, but with my tiny boobs, it was tight and slinky and I looked GOOD, OMG, I never looked so good! The waist is awesome, and tapered, I never had a curve in my waist before. The waist turns in to ruffles just at the top of my pannus, and it is so fun to be hiding such a secret. I am ready to hit the streets. I just smiled for the first time in days I think. I am wearing this dress to court! Woohoo, John, baby eat your heart out!

Got you beat I graduated in 1969!! And at the time low rise bikini jeans with handkerchief haltertops and braids was the thing! Oh and of course a pair of round lens glasses in yellow or pink~

You are incredible Traci! You are just the tiniest little thing. It is amazing you ever weighed more than 130lbs in your life! Your pannus must be mostly all in your mind girl! You look dynamite. Are you sure you don't just have a mosquito bite on your tummy

Traci,

Wow, that is so exciting! I don't have anything I saved.........I've never been that size, but you will all hear me whoop waaaaayyy over there in CA when I finally get to buy those cute clothes in a small size! I just asked my friend how young a 41 year old can dress before being ridiculous. I remember as kids we made fun of my Aunt for being middle aged with mini skirts and go go boots. YIKES!! Then again, who will need clothes......I keep telling my friends that I'm gonna sing Karaoke naked........and it won't matter how bad I sing. lol Congrats Traci on all your success.

Thank you Carol and Marty,

I haven't seen this thread in awhile. Just wanted you to know I read it finally. The months of June and July were very busy and awful for me.

As for the jeans, yeah they were my goal, but I realize as life changes so does my taste. I don't know how old you have to be to stop wearing mini skirts, I obviously haven't got that old yet, because I wore a mini skirt to the July 30 picnic at the LaJolla shores.

As for my pannus Carol, it is there, and it is huge. You can see it in the picture at the picnic. My solo picture was removed without question, it discouraged me terribly, and I have been on a pity party since then. I am getting ready to start the process for plastic surgery.
