Angry Had hernia repair and now I am a size bigger!!!!!!!

I had a hernia above my belly button for almost a year and finally got it fixed. The alien is gone yeah but now I can not fit into my size 10 pants. The surgery was on April Th so it's almost been a month and I know swelling can last a while but come on. The scale has gone up by 3 pounds so I have gained a little weight due to inactivity but not a whole size right?I am stressed out. My husband tells me its fine but it is not I am going in the wrong direction. I was proud of my size 10 and now I am wearing 12's. I don't know if my body is changing and the weight is redistributing itself or what. I had to vent because people who have not had Gastric bypass don't understand what this will do to your mind. I am hoping to get down to a 8 and loose at least 20 more pounds . I have been saying that for 5 months now . Any-who thought I would get my friends advise all you people who are reading this. I am still glad I did it. I hated the hernia! I nicknamed it alien because after I would eat it would push out of my belly like in the movie and make me look about 5 months prego. Not that I have anything against the prego look but been there 5 times not trying to go back after I am finally reclaiming my body.

Cheers
Alex

I had a large umbilical hernia repaired when I had my RNY.

It was a good 3 months before the swelling started to go down.

1st thank you to everyone for answering my panic about my belly, I think he should have better prepared me. I did not expect it to be small and flat right after but I guess I did not expect this .

Godsblessedme..thanks for asking about how things are going with me and hubby but unfortunately not much better. There has been so much drama I am just flat tiered. I stopped updating about the situation because one of the responses made me feel like I was under attack and was not putting enough into the relationship. My thing is this I am tiered of being accused of cheating, and not putting enough into the relationship. He tells me things like I am selfish because I don't get in the pool with the kids (we have 2 girls and their hair alone takes at least 1 hour to wash, comb and ponytail after the pool) who says I have energy to to do mine too. Not to mention they want HIM in there so he is trying to get around it by blaming me. I can go on and on with examples. Anyway I do not know what is going to happen. I know I can not live this way much longer.
