Default Eating Concerns Freaked Out

Ever since my Tummy Tuck I have been out of sorts so to speak with my eating. Other than some Herbal Tea I cannot even look at food much before about 3 in the afternoon. Once I can eat it is like I eat at 3pm, then again at dinner at 6:30 and then about 9 or 9:30 as I need something else before bed. It's like I cannot even think or look at food before 3pm. I haven't had this problem before. Since my WLS surgery a year ago I have been able to schedule 4 small meals a day like at 7am, noon, 4pm, and 7pm. The meals were regular and I regimented my day by them. This eating style is throwing me way off. I am wondering if this is a trend that anyone else has noticed...kinda got me freaked out, anyone else had this happen before?

Remember, a tummy tuck is surgery and stressful on your body. It will take some time to get back into the swing of things as it takes 3-6 months for the TT to fully heal. Do the best you can and take each day as it comes. As long as you're getting the necassary nutrients in, you'll come out okay.

Hopefully Bridget will have some insight for you. I don't have mine for 3 MORE WEEKS!!!!! OMG 3 WEEKS FROM TODAY!!!!!! Now I'm freaking.. sorry got a little off track.. but OMG 3 MORE WEEKS!!!!!! ACK!! LOL

Anyway my friend I think that like Marie said you have just had major surgery. Allow your body to adjust and get back on track. Don't stress my friend.. just make sure you get plenty of fluids in.. that is the most important part.

Christina,
OMG is right, last time I was on here reading stuff you had just written a letter to get your TT approved.

Way to go you must be so excited....... I will say prayers for you.

Casper----- I completly know how you feel I have been eating like that since my bypass surgery on Jan 14th. I keep trying daily to change this eating habit. Food just sounds so gross in the morning and early afternoon. I do have days when I can eat breakfast but I still want to eat at 9pm. It is driving me crazy. It is almost like some kind of obsession to eat at 9pm I am going to try tonight to not eat after 6pm. I know it is going to be hard but I just really need to get a handle on this..... I will let know how it goes for me.

Barbarjo,

I never actually requested a tummy tuck.. the Insurance just approved that along with everything else.. so I guess my letter worked?? Anway thanks for the prayers I know I'll need them. Since this is TRULY elective I am having a hard time not backing out.. I need it done.. but at the same time.. I am scared.

Christina,

I would be scared too. I know I would be like you are right now, thinking about backing out. But just think of the other side. The flatter stomach side of this surgery, the stomach without extra skin. That must be fabulous.... I be prayin....

I had more anxiety over my TT than my WLS. It was really weird. I think like it was maybe that final step in my transformation sorta. Anyway, it is good to be two weeks out now. Any major surgery is hard on your body and this was as well. I am glad I did it, I like the flat stomach. A little over a year ago I had a 48 inch waist and now my waist is 34 inches. I will be a praying for you my friend you know that and call me any time for encouragement if you need it. (e-mail me for my number)

I'm supposed to see my surgeon on the 19th of this month for my 1 year check up (it'll actually only be a little under 11 months, but getting appointments are difficult.) I think I'm pretty much finished losing weight. I've been at the same weight for about a month or so. I'm at 181, and I have probably 15 lbs. of skin, so I need to decide if I want to go through with a tummy tuck or not. One day I say, nope, I can wear spandex, and the next day I want to have the flat belly. If I get the tummy tuck, I'm guessing that will probably put my weight about 165, which is ok with me. I'm 5'8". I can wear size 8 and 10 now, so I'm satisfied. I'm worried that the pain from a tummy tuck will be worse than the WLS. I'm not even sure if insurance will approve it or not. UGH.......I wish someone else would make the decisions for me.
