I know what you mean. Going by others, I should be wearing a much smaller size for my height and weight...but I have always been a BIG girl, and I surpassed my expectations, so I am happy...its just a number anyway right!

At this rate, I may look into face work also. I looked dragged down and very old.

I know several people are the same weight as I am, but are wearing different sizes, so I wanted to figure out what the differences were. I know part of it is that every body shape is different. For example, I have an hourglass shape, with most of my "curviness" in my lower half. So I'm guessing that accounts for the different sizing. If you have someone who has a body type that doesn't include my thighs and hips, I'm guessing that they would be able to get into smaller clothes. It also helps to kind of see where other loses father out from surgery than I am and are my height and frame size are in terms of stable weight.

You guys are awesome! Thanks so much for the responses!

Default Has to do with frame size and body composition

Here is the deal - I am tiny. 5' 3" if I stand up really straight. For me to get to 130-135 - with my muscle mass, I'll be a size 4, maybe less, we'll see. I am SOO short that my bones are smaller in every dimension - they don't hold up 5'6". If you're taller than me, your bones are going to be bigger - you're not going to get to those smaller sizes and look okay or feel okay. But at size 8, as a taller woman, you're going to look very similar to the eye, as I do in a 4. Does that make sense? I mean, if your bones take up a certian amount of space, say in your pelvis, that determines what size pants you can wear. If your bones are larger, you're limited in how small you can go, but not in how good you will look at any particular size.

Also, body composition has A LOT to do with it. Although I have a LONG way to go, here is a photo of me in my new size 8 pants. You can see I already have some ab defenition - there is plenty of fat there, though...working on it. But, if my abs were not in as good of shape, I'd have a tummy that stuck out and I'd be in 12s or 14s. Even easier to see is my arm. If the same amount of weight were on my arm, but it was fat, it would be hanging down. My arms are extremely muscular so they are going to be smaller than if they were not as developed. They are leaner. Does that make sense?

So in the end, If I didn't go to the gym at all, maybe I'd end up an 8, maybe 6 if I was lucky. But add the gym to the tiny frame, and I'll be in those little sizes when I get to goal weight.

Helpful?

Yeah that totally makes sense. My hips are a little wide, and I know everyone holds weight at diferent places. But I too think of myself as an hourglass shape. I usally hold weight all over, not in one particular place. But I have tested to see my bones size and i have small to medium bone size. The only reason I am not 100% a small is b/c of my heights. However I'm barely a medium as well. I have very small wrists. (which is mostly what they go by when determining bone size). Since i know I am small to medium, I just have a hard time understanding why some people are in a size 8-10 and weight more than me and are my height. Thats all. They must have huge tatas. LOL. Well I knkow we are all different. I'm glad this question came up though, bc/ I have been wondering what size I should expect to be in myself. Guess we will see. :O

P.S Gina, you look great by the way. Nice muscels. I'm working on mine. :O
