This didn't sound good as I wrote it...sounded like fraud...I DO have a history of rashes and have pictures but nothing was documented well and although I've been using Nystatin powder I'm not sure how to re-cause it. I need 3 months documentation and don't have any.

Everytime you get a rash go to the doctor and complain. Take a picture, and make sure that you fill the prescription.

I've heard something like Nair will do it. I would never do this as it seems like sort of insurance fraud or something, but I know someone who did. It would hurt like you know what!

If your pannus is large enough and you have significant "roll", as gross as it sounds, don't be as clean as you normally would. It won't take long to get a yeast type rash. Most insurance companies will want to see that you have tried adequate hygiene, topicals, powders, and some even want to see oral anitbiotics or antifungals. You have to get a couple of them to show it's recurrent. Nair will give you a good rash if you apply it to broken skin. heard this hurts like a sunburn. Find out what criteria is in the medical policy your insurance company looks at. This will show what you need to get it covered, that is if they even have a provision for it. Hope this helps. Sue
