I was and still am (just!) 39 when I had surgery, everything went well and I would most certainly say that I would have it done again! I just wish I could have controlled myself better in my younger years to have not had to have had surgery but that's life! I am so grateful to have had a chance to recapture all the opportunites I missed being MO!

Would i do it again? Yes i would. I must let you know that i died the day of my surgery on the table. Thank god that i am still here, but i died trying if i had not tried i would have died another way, in my house alone and fat. I am 7 months out and it still has not hit me the fact that i was dead for a minuite or two one day it will. It'a better to die trying than to die doing nothing.

I am 24, and a very lightweight (198.8 day of surgery) and had RNY. I am almost 5 weeks out and I have absolutely NO REGRETS AT ALL. I have seen such a huge improvement in my health alone that I would do it again a thousand times. Good luck with your decision, its a tough one, but so worth it in the end no matter what you choose.
