For our speaker we had Colin Powell talk to us and that night at the awards dinner we had the guy from King of Queens and hitch do comedy. After the conference was over we went to the mall that is attached to a few of the hotels there and discovered a new store for me. Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor loft. Even now at a size 10 I kept thinking I was to big for there. I went in a bought everything in a 10. The had a great sale and some really cute stuff. Thanks for all the dress suggestions and support.

Head over to the exercise section - we have a "last 20 or so" challenge going on there. Bunch of us trying to lose around the same amount of weight. Trying to help eachother out! Come on over!

Default Going back

You hang in there. It feels like every other week I am on track off track. Just try and commit to your self to not eat the crap. I gradually went back to all protein and salad. I need to get better at water but that is a step I need to take 1 day at a time. I proud of you for committing to start walking again. Let us know how it goes.

Default Sierra0120 I live in Kent too

Hi there,

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I noticed Sierra you live in Kent. I had surgery a little over a year ago at Overlake, and live in Kent. Sorry to hear you are having problems, but it's good to see someone else who lives close by! I posted in the Washington section too, looking for folks in the area.

Give me a hollar if you need anything, or any advice on stuff in the area that is good for WLS. I have a bunch of restaurants that I have picked in Kent that have good food, and that has been through lots of trial and error.

Hi, I'm new to this forum but I do have a suggestion for you. First of all let me tell you that I had gbs almost 15 years ago and I am up 60 lbs from my lowest but I did not see or believe it was happening until one day I really looked at myself and realized I have been eating my way around my weight loss tool ( that's what I call my pouch ). I did a test I found on line in another forum, it's called the 5 day pouch test. I lost 9 pounds (mostly water ) but who cares. What I learned was that my pouch was not broken and the old ways came back in that 5 days I felt that full feeling again just like the first few years post op. I was eating all the things that easily go down like pretzels, popcorn and cookies with fluids the last 12 or so years. In the instructions for this pouch test it explain what happens to that food and how it just slips right through to your thighs and does not make you full. It seems hard but if I could do it anyone can . Just google 5 day test pouch and your there.
Good Luck.

Michelle

Hi, basically the 5 day pouch test lets you redicover why you had surgery in the first place. It sort of re boots your pouch, this is your weight loss tool that you have with you everywhere, take the test follow it to the note. When you think you feel the carb monster sneeking up on you go on line and read , read, read. Then go eat some fat free sugar free pudding ( worked for me) nice and cool and creamy. Just google the 5 day pouch test and you'll be linked up.

The URL for the five day pouch test is easy! www.5daypouchtest.com. I haven't tried it yet, but I need to! I haven't gained, but I'm not losing either and I am eating way too much junk food.
