My stomach may be smaller, but I feel more than head hunger. I feel starved, my stomach feels hungry and yes, I can't eat as much as I use to, but I sure can eat more than I thought I would be able to tolerate. I am so scared, because I didn't lose so much weight before this and I am now gaining. I too need to be on this site.

So glad I'm not the only one. This is such a great place to go to get motivated. I know for alot of us folks, our metabolisms (is that a word?) is such that carbs are stored, so protien is the way to go. Good quality protein. with just a few high fiber carbs in the form of veggies and a little fresh fruit and portion control, that is my big thing, cheese and crackers, good low fat triscuts, can eat a ton of them without even batting an eye and almonds, better portion it out first or I am lost.....any who, that is my plan.....I will try the eat small amount every 2-3 hours for a week then go back to 3x per day for a week, keep things shaken up a bit. Gina, you are who we all aspire to with the exersise thing but baby, that is just a dream for me.
So that is my plan in a nut shell. Need to loose the 5 I put on and the rest of the 15 left till goal.
Thanks for being here to let me put this down in writing for the whole world to see. Talk about accountability!

feel same way
I am almost 13 weeks out and my weight loss has been odd. I loose and then sit at that weight for few weeks. Im concerned also, and I don't think its crazy to be concerned about 5lbs, I think its great you are catching it. I stoped journaling about 2 weeks ago, felt I was spending too much time journaling and researching/chatting etc. But I am finding its crucial. Going back to basics is the chime of reason throughout the thread, maybe one of the senior members could post a bulletin on getting back to basics. Im never sure if I am eating to little or too much anymore. Ive definetly started eating things that are imposible to keep track of calories even though still in small portions. For myself and the advice I would give is add one protein supplement back into your diet. The special K is good tasting but not alot of protein. You can use Nectar or anywhey protein to get the same flavor and triple the protein. My doctor says 3 meals a day 1/2 cup - 3/4 cup and 80 grms of protein. Also I try to work out 2-4 times a week. Keeping the journal keeps you honest with yourself and gives you a real picture. Good luck

I am in that transition period, and I am concerned that I could get into trouble. What is keeping me straight as an arrow about my food intake is that I only eat when the clock allows me to. I tell myself when I am going to eat (and usually what that will be), and I don't allow myself to get off that track. I am finding that it is becoming a habit now. Just a little tip....
We all have the addiction, and we can easily fall off the wagon. The best thing we can do is get back on the wagon (or treadmill, as the case may be).
This is a marvelous thread - it keeps things real. This isn't easy.

Uhhhhhhh!
Ok I have lost 115 pounds and I am looking for a dress and this is turning out worst than when I was fat? I dont get it. It almost seemed easier then than it is now. I d not know if it is because there were a lot less choices or if I am just still not happy with me but whoo I feel like I need a drink. (Not really jus pretend. I hardly ever drink) any how I went to find a dress last night and must have tried on at least 50 and came home with one. I tried it on for my husband and he was honest and said " it's nice but it does not have a wow factor" Then he proceeds to say deep breath ladies... Whats wrong with the dress you wore to Mexico. Now I know he meant well he was saying I looked nice in the dress BUT people at work saw me in the dress in Mexico and that was only 3 months ago. Anyway I know I should get over wearing the same thing but Hey I was going for the whole tasteful hot mama look Anyway going out tonight and tomorrow if need be. Thanks for reading.

Have you tried JC Pennys? I know it's a dorky store but in October I was looking all over for a dress to wear to a Bar Mitzvah I was going to in New York and out of sheer desperation I ended up in Penny's. I found 2 really good awesome cocktail dresses and they were both on sale. I think I spent a grand total of $70 on the dresses.
I also really like White House/Black Market. I bought this super sexy halter pant suit that I wore to my company Christmas party in December and I was getting getting compliments right and left. I tried it on as a whim, because I set on finding the perfect, super sexilicious dress and it ended up being my favorite thing I tried on.
I know the search for the perfect outfit can be hard. Best of luck to you...I know you will find something awesome!

I love J.C. Penney's-got my whole new wardrobe there-at 75% off-and if you fill out the survey on the back of your receipt-you can get another 15% off. They are just starting their clearance sale here-and I plan on going shopping.

Back from Boston
Hi everyone. I am back form the conference. To give yall an update. I did go looking and looking and looking again for a dress and did not find one. so I wore my Mexico dress. So to make the Mexico dress more interesting I made my hair all curly and wore dashing gold eye shadow. I had a good time. For our speaker we had Colin Powell talk to us and that night at the awards dinner we had the guy from King of Queens and hitch do comedy. After the conference was over we went to the mall that is attached to a few of the hotels there and discovered a new store for me. Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor loft. Even now at a size 10 I kept thinking I was to big for there. I went in a bought everything in a 10. The had a great sale and some really cute stuff. Thanks for all the dress suggestions and support.

But then you have people who come forward with you and say I am in the boat with you makes you not feel alone. I appreciate all of the snack tips. I will be going out tonight and buying a little of everything you all mentioned and trying it out to see if it works, Yesterday was a good day. I ate 2 protein shakes (low Carb 5 grams each) a lean cuisine for lunch, 1 cup of cottage cheese for late snack and a half of turkey sandwich with lite mayo. Now my weakness I had 2 mini powdered donuts . I know I was doing OK up to the donuts. I am not in a position to not buy the stuff because I have 4 kids who occasionally enjoy it so I just need you guys to keep me strong . I weighted in today and was down to 177 so only 2 more pounds to get back to where I was and then I can tackle the last 20 to 25. Thanks again. I will keep posting on here when times get tough and I want a donut not a protein shake

Glad to see you are back on track. I too was the hideous eater all holiday foods. My poison was turkey and dressing - I would eat it for 2 meals a day . . . I love corn bread dressing. The final straw was oatmeal cookies - True, made with splenda .. but if you eat 8 a day, NOT HELPING. I ended up gaining 7 pounds.
Food addictions are tough - for me - the only way I can deal with it is NOT to ever eat it. I can't seem to do a "little" bit of trail mix . .. or one bite of this or that. I have to completely abandon my danger foods. So this is day 2 of my back on track . . . I'm doing 5 days of South Beach . . . then I'm going to slide carbs back in ever so slowly.
Hang in there. And keep the nuts, cheese sticks and beef juerky handy. Those are MY snacks of choice!
