Talking Thank you all!

I have read and experience a lot of moving things in life but all of your support and honesty really touched me. You read so much about peoples success(not that I am not thrilled for them) and feel like am I the only one who cant get and keep the weight off??? But then you have people who come forward with you and say I am in the boat with you makes you not feel alone. I appreciate all of the snack tips. I will be going out tonight and buying a little of everything you all mentioned and trying it out to see if it works, Yesterday was a good day. I ate 2 protein shakes (low Carb 5 grams each) a lean cuisine for lunch, 1 cup of cottage cheese for late snack and a half of turkey sandwich with lite mayo. Now my weakness I had 2 mini powdered donuts . I know I was doing OK up to the donuts. I am not in a position to not buy the stuff because I have 4 kids who occasionally enjoy it so I just need you guys to keep me strong . I weighted in today and was down to 177 so only 2 more pounds to get back to where I was and then I can tackle the last 20 to 25. Thanks again. I will keep posting on here when times get tough and I want a donut not a protein shake

None of us got fat in one lump sum,... we all gained it one pound at a time so any gain is cause for action. I have made all the excues but reading your comments hit reality.... I have to stop snacking, follow the rules for water, and get up and do some kind of exercise. I hope that I can encourage you to do the same. Maybe we can help each other.
Yes we can, I am always more dedicated when I am accountable and lord knows I need to be accountable. It will be hot before I know it. Here in Arizona I will be lucky if I have another month and a half to 2 months of Cool weather before I will be wearing tank tops and short. (Sexy) On the positive note, this weekend I am going shopping for a formal dress for our annual sales conference in Boston. I am excited. The first year I wore a size 24 and had to walk the red carpet in front of everyone and get my award. Last year I wore a size 16. This year I will be sporting a 10 and I guarantee it will be a HOT number

Default Wow... great

That is wonderful !!! Make sure you post a pic in that dress!! It is amazing how people treat you differently. People used to assume that I was lazy and dumb and didn't care enough to lose weight and now those same people treat me totally differently. Please keep in touch ... I rarely have a chance to get on this site so email works better for me. Feel free to email me at cread80@hotmail.com. I would appreciate having a partner in the battle to lose and keep it off. Carol

I have gained some weight as well so I am going to try this http://www.5daypouchtest.com

I also ordered some Whey Protein from Jigsaw it has 19 grams of protein and comes in vanilla and choclate. I like to mix the vanilla with OJ and ice cubes. It tastes like an orange cream icecream bar. I mix the choclate with a banana, ice cubes and water. http://www.jigsawhealth.com/default.aspx

BBvitamins is also where I get my spray B-12 and I love that. My B-12 readings are always good now. I use three sprays morning and evening.

Cool Lost the 5 pounds!

Well all I have lost the 5 pounds I had gained! This puts me back at 175 pounds. Now I need to work to get off the last 20. It has been hard getting those 5 off let alone getting off an additional 20. I have started back at eating 5 to 6 times a day. Healthy meals. A lot of cottage cheese and regular cheese, protein shakes and meat only dinners. I need to pick up my exercise so I am committing to that right now. My goal is to loose the 20 pounds in the next 3 months. That is 6.6 pounds a month, I think that is totally doable. Who else wants to lay out their personal challenge for all to see with me?? Let's do it guys and gals I know we can! Thanks for the support I will keep you posted. As for the dress...I am going out tonight to try and find one. I will definitely post it on here for all my family to see

I didn't have a chance to post earlier, but I too put on a bunch of weight between Thanksgiving and X-mas - actually - 7 pounds. And that is just dangerous as I'm only 5 months out of plastics and just can't go back up there without messing up my lovely flat tummy. Dec. 27 I got my act together, lost 4.5 pounds a week for two weeks and then another 2 since then. So I have 27 left to goal and I hope to do 2-3 pounds a week. Today starts my new week. Missed the gym today, but I was up WAY too late, so I have to let that go. (not easy when you're obsessed)

So - my eating plan is totally different than yours, but I am writing down everything that goes into my mouth. (hmmmm) And I'll be in the gym every day, doing tons of cardio. I want to burn at least 750 calories a day. With a deficit of 550 cals a day, that should add up to more than two pounds a week. We'll see if I can sustain that. I know at least one person who has done it, but he's a machine. Well - here's to us!!

Now, lets go out and sweat for the cause!! Good Luck!! And pm me if you'd like. We'll touch base on this as often as you want. I can use the help!

I'm a little insane lately. Really crazy motivated (ah love) Anyway - I don't do any dairy at all, as I'm getting ready to enter competitive cycling and I don't want to get goopy. uh...you know... the dairy/mucous thing. I know, not nice. Anyway - I am totally built up (from doing resistance 3 days a week for almost two years) so I have actually stopped doing all but the slightest weight lifting (I have 20 minutes of strength training in the class I teach at the gym and thats all I do in a week now) and I don't do any extra protein any more. If I lose a little muscle, it won't hurt the way I look. So I am all cardio. Run, arc, bike, eliptical and rowing machines. I also just ran outside for the first time, but it has been below 30 degrees since then, so I'm staying inside!!

It does take me at least 90 minutes to burn that many calories - sometimes longer, and I'm working my butt off in there, let me tell you. But I am just so sick of farting around with this weight. I got to a certain point, and it just got much harder and I faltered for a while. Now - I know what to do and I'm doing it. I just hope it works!

So don't feel like a slacker - I live here, you know? Thank goodness I have found a few friends that are as into working out as I am, and they keep me going. The point is that you are always pushing your limits, always getting better, stronger, more fit etc. That is the point, right?

I am in crisis also and have a hard time exercising. I am almost 2 years past surgery and am still wearing 1X and 2X. I need a quick start. I know back to basics but can anyone give me a hand with getting started again. My work schedule is backwards, I work from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM. When I get home I am hungry. Actually I get hungry alot. I didn't think this would happen and I find I can eat more than I thought I would be able to. I don't eat sugar, that's one good thing but there are plenty of other carbs as well as know. Can some one help other than back to basics, because I don't know what that means anymore.

Ok, maybe I'm too naive, but aren't our stomachs still tiny? I never feel any real hunger any more just the head hunger. I've noticed myself having those old thoughts and feelings that got me into trouble before. I am a year and 2 months out and have lost 127 lbs. which I am very proud of. I feel great! But I am having head hunger way too much. I try and stick to cheese and peanut butter and crackers. I guess it really never goes away, does it? I still can't eat too much at one time and some things I can't eat at all anymore. I don't post much but am a frequent reader. I guess I need this site more than I thought.
