Default Tummy Tuck

Wooooeeee!

Just got back from vacation and there was a call on my message machine from my plastic surgeons office saying my tummy tuck was approved by insurance and may surgery date is 3/17/2005. Wow this year has gone by so fast and this is the finishing touches on it. My surgeon says he will take off 7 to 9 pounds of skin and that should be what is left to goal!!!!

Default Hospital Stay?

I am having the surgery outpatient, anyone out there had it this way and should I have serious reservations about not having a hospital stay with this proceedure?

Question Hospital Stay??

Gee Bill, I don't know. I know with the breast thing and other proceedures I don't think they are having me stay in the hospital either? I know Bridge did but she had a couple of things done? I wish I had a better answer for you. I do know your beautiful wife will take great care of you when you get home though... so maybe you would be more comfy there anyway? Let us know how it goes.. I am so excited for you.

Smile Hey Bill

My procedure was done inpatient. I had tummy tuck and thighs. I have a girlfriend who had a tummy tuck done outpatient also, it was cost effective for her. Or oter brother Billl who had WLS is having his tummy tuck done here shortly as well (unless this is the same guy ) and he is having it done out patient as well. I think that is a trend among HMO's for cost effectiveness. My girlfriend lived in her lazyboy chair for about a week. She had to sleep up right and it was easier for her to get up and down. Plan on having someone by your side for the first 24 hours! You will need the help!

Good luck buddy!

Default Bill,

I guess that is the cherry on top! To finish the process, it's the icing on the cake. It's just peachy! Congratulations! Let us know how you do.
