Default wow moments still make my day!!

o.k., heres the story.

I am going to New York for business soon and every year I go I freeze!! (cause I am a born and raised California girl!)
So I decide I am going to go out and get some true warm winter clothes, you know, boots, sweaters, long pants...etc.

As I am walking the mall in La Jolla...the sun was shining on my face the wind slightly blowing through my hair (which is finally grown back). Strands and curls are flying around me. My arms are swinging in opposite harmony with my legs. The movement of my body feels strong and healthy...life is good!!

I am window shopping looking at all the choices available to me, when I notice something. My eyes can not keep up with the pace at which I am walking. I realize that I am effortlessly walking...no no wait...more like gliding along!! OMG!!!

The realization is overwhelming and I can't help but pick up my pace then slow it down just to verify that I am no longer trying desperately to maneuver 300 pounds in a mall that would surely only have a limited amount of options to cover me in any resemblance of fashion. Instead, today I am hovering through the corridor of window shopping. Overwhelmed with the styles and choices before me!!! yep, that feels like a WOW moment to me!!!

p.s., I think my iron infusion is working, that helps also....gotta love medical science!!!

Found some really cute shorty boots, slacks from Gap and layers, layers, layers......
I am borrowing a vintage jacket from my mom...back in 1972 she won $ at her first horse race at Santa Anita and spent the money on a black leather jacket with fox trim...she lent it to me and I absolutely love the fact that it is vintage and the memories of my "glamourous" mom wearing it when I was little!!!
I need to get gloves and a scarf and then I hope to be set!

I wanna glide too !!!!

I'm so impressed by the simple things like that, that normal sized people take for granted. You, on the other hand, know what a blessing it is to be so mobile.

You go girl !!!

It looks like you will soon be on your way to gliding....yes, it is an awesome gift I have been given.
My advice to all the newbies is to follow your doc's orders to the letter!
I was so deperate for this to work that I often say that if my doc told me to eat wooden chair legs and dirty socks after WLs I would have!!
to the letter!!!
