Default Tummy Tuck & Breasts :)

Well I have not been around in awhile I am so sorry - things are crazy for me I am going thru a divorce and it will be final oct 11th....I am so glad that chapter will be over! as many of you know it has been a long tough road of lies and crap with him

but I am happy to say i have scheduled my full tummy tuck and breast augmentation i will get them back it is set for aug 23rd i had preop today...my cousin is a mammogram tech and recommend i go saline under the muscle since breast cancer does run in the family so that is what i will have done

any advice for a good recovery?

Get into the best shape you can pre-op. I just had a belt lipectomy and breast lift and it was no big deal. But I credit being in the best shape of my life for that. Now I know you only have 10 days, but I'd get my cardio-vascular system as prepped as possible.

Otherwise, having an amazing surgeon always helps. Realistic expectations. They help. Mostly - just do what your surgeon says and be ready for lots of swelling!

Good luck!

Up your protein Heather! About a week before and during healing...eat as much as you can! It's helping me as far as healing faster. I am doing about 150-180 g's a day. Way more than normal...but it's helpful. (I am sucking down protein bars between meals for the extra amount. Protein is essential for cellular reconstruction..therefore healing.) Gina is right too...work out like a fiend, I hear it helps with the pain portion. For me...It sucks...for John and Gina..it wasn't so bad. I was active, but not nearly like the others. I'm paying for that now.

Sorry to hear of the divorce, but glad your back...You were missed!!

I'm a little over a week out now. I feel ok, still in pain, but it gets better every day. I had a full belt lipectomy and lipo of the thighs. I am holding off on boobs until Dec. I have before and afters on a link in Photo's...you need to PM me for the password to the link though, they are sans clothes if you know what I mean.

Good luck with yours!!

Default One more thing

I just wanted to say that although I only had a lift, boobs seem to heal really fast - compared to the tummy stuff. At least for me. The only part that hurts at all is the part of the incision that goes beneath my arms. He went way under there to get some of the extra skin (I didn't even know he was going to do that - but I'm glad he did) Anyway - I can't believe how normal I feel. It was really no big deal to have the lift.

Other things bother me a bit, but all in all, just take it really easy at first, use your pain meds if you need them and expect it to be uncomfortable.

I'd do it again tomorrow though. It is really something.

i am very nervous because i'm living with a new boyfriend & dont want to be a baby - i'm thinking this is pretty big surgery & i will look gross and all the stuff you just want to hid from a new boyfriend even though we are sleeping together to have him taking care of me taking me to the bathroom and all that is scary for me - my parents will be coming by to help a little too so hopefully i dont need to much help when they arent there -
how much help did you need after the tummy tuck?
