Default Yeah Beth!

Some how I missed this thread earlier. CONGRATS! Wow, I'd be so jealous if I'd taken the time to go to a surgeon. I just have no extra bucks right now and don't want to face disappointment. Perhaps I should go to know what I need to get going.

Again CONGRATS!

I too somehow managed to miss this. So sorry I didn't catch it sooner...but that aside...Yay! The suspense is over...good for you. Now the waiting game begins. At least you won't be healing in the warm summer heat, right?

Laura, so glad to see you back posting and I was thrilled to hear that all went well for you. I'm hoping for the same results as you. So glad Missy shared the news with you. She is such a sweetheart! I know you are both happy for me. I really do appreciate it!

Yes, they plan on doing it all in one session. I plan on having the full abdominoplasty with an anchor incision along with a bilateral breast reduction. The scheduler said about a 6 hour surgery. Sept. 21 does seem to be forever but it will get here soon enough. As I mentioned it really is working out for the better for me. I really didn't want to have my surgery just as school was getting back into session. So it is 5 1/2 weeks and counting!

Default Congrats

I don't post much here anymore but wanted to commend you on your approval. I'm a Michigan native and moved to CA six years ago. Way to go, I'm so happy for you. I'm so looking forward to plastic surgery myself and hope the insurance approval go well. Again, take care and good luck!

Jen, Tina...thank you for the supportive words. I'm just so glad to finally have a date set. I was becoming quite the "bear" at home waiting.

Tina, the insurance approval has been a long time in coming, at least the breast reduction part. The panniculectomy was approved quickly but they weren't going to approve a breast lift. Thankfully another member of this forum suggested I look at a breast reduction....THANK YOU, STEPH!! That honestly was the key for me. I pulled up the requirements that my insurance company had for a breast reduction and I found that if I just jumped through enough hoops I could maybe get this covered. Thankfully I have some very supportive doctors who have been very willing to help this process along and it finally has been approved.

I hope all goes well for you when you decide it is the right time to take the steps to get your insurance company to cover your surgery. I would highly suggest that before you take those steps you take a look at your insurance company's criteria...that was a huge help for me so that I knew what direction to go.
