Default I did the unthinkable

I thought Pre-op I would never have enough confidence to go to the water park with my kids and actually ride the slides.

Well.... I DID! I took my kids to the water park yesterday and it was like I was a kid again myself. I put my new bathing suit on and had no fear! My kiddos were just as happy as I was that I was right there with them getting wet with them!

What an AWESOME WOW moment. It was so fulfilling we bought season passes so I will be going on a regular basis!

That is very neat! My town just opened a brand new water park about a week ago, and that is on the tip top of my list to do post-op. I've never been to a water park, so it should be interesting.

Default Me Too!

Congrats!

I actually went too the neighborhood pool before the surgery. It was sooooooooooooooo uncomfortable. All the kids would stare at my tree trunk legs. My legs still look like tree trunks, but more like young saplings now, not giant oaks.

We're going to Schlitterbahn next week. I went there too, with the oak size legs. It will be sooooooo much better this time. I can so relate!
Good luck to you.

Minime

Whoa! That is so cool! A water park! And you did it!

At this point, post op 3 months, I am dreaming about something similar. In December my husband and I are going on a 7 day Caribbean cruise, and we are planning to go snorkeling at one of our ports, Cozumel. A few months ago I couldn't even consider or conceive of such a thing. And now, BRING IT ON! By December I will be in my size 6 bathing suit (that I bought on eBay), and I will have no problem doing the snorkeling thing.

Now I have to look for water parks for next summer!!!

Congratulations on making that HUGE step! That's so great! I'll be taking my kids to Schlitterbahn in just a few weeks. Hopefully I will have the courage to take the shorts and t-shirt off and enjoy myself as well.
