Marcia, I miss my stapler buddy! As you saw, I've also gained. I've been making poor choices, and I think some of it has been in reaction to stress in my life. I'm so glad to see you online, and I'll be glad to support ya! HUGS!

Where in Sac do you live?

PM me and we can chat offline or I'll give you my phone number!

I love it another loser in Sacramento, we will have a huge pity party, you can eat junk and I'll watch you.. both of us can be bitter for a few hours and then....

We can get over it and support each other. I'll encourage you in good food choices, you can encourage me to eat even when I don't feel like it. We can get out and excersize together. Go to support group, 3rd Thursday of the month.

It will be fun!

I am not mocking you two, but I remembered a joke about how do a sadist and a masochist make love?

"Hit me!!"

"No!!"

I know I am one of the ones you hate cause I am early out and can't eat much. You said you don't get any help and I don't mean to be rude but can't you just start by trying to gain control over your eating habits? I know it is probably easier said than done but stop eating SUGAR. Quit the diet soda. I saw a study that said everyone who gains their weight back had one thing in common, they ALL drank soda. Are you exercising? Watch your portions etc. Try to go back to the pouch rules and see if that helps. I'm not trying to be unsupportive, but maybe you need to take a good hard look at what you are doing before it gets way out of control. I know it's easy for me to say because I can't even get my protein requirements in. But I do support you and I know you can do this you just have to make some changes. I know you can do it!

Pardon me while I rub my backside. That was a good swift kick! Thanks. I just need to carry your words around in my head for a while.

Nancy it was sent with love... You can do it I know you can.

In fact I've been thinking if I could have controlled my portions long ago I would not have ever been overweight.

Unhappy Don't get me Wrong!

Don't get me wrong, I know all my choices are completely my own, I was just lamenting about not getting any help from my own body in helping me control things a bit.

No matter what anyone says and whatever reasons we get the surgery done, there is still that feeling of anticipation that we will have a little help in controling what we eat just by the reaction we get from our bodies. I dare anyone to try to say they don't expect that.

Unfortuneately/Fortuneately we don't control how our bodies react to the changes we have made to it. Not having any complications or even just normal after effects of the surgery is excellent, but it puts us back into the catagory we have been in all our lives. We have to control what and how much we eat. If I could do that, I would never had had to have the surgery in the first place.

Do you understand what I mean?

So in my case, my complication is not having any complications.

Marcia

my expectation of surgery was just that .. a tool to control my eating. I didn't bargain for what I got.. a tool that won't let me eat. When I read of those who struggle with weight gain, I am baffled because of my situation. I can't keep the weight on, and some still can't keep the weight off. Either way it's miserable.. in my opinion. Janie

Marcia~

Sorry I did not understand your first post. You have lost over 110 pounds though so that is an awesome accomplishment. I'm sorry the surgery did not offer you the amount of help you wanted. Hang in there.
