Default Gross Topic - Diarrhea after Water Loading

Good Morning,

I have re-visited the pouch rules in recent weeks and have started water loading prior to meals. Sometimes, after I water load, I have diarrhea. Has anyone had this? I would like to think that the water is "clearing me out", but is still a tad concerning. Any insight would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Sid

OK Sid, I don't waterload . . . but for the interest of science . .. I tried it . . . I am never going to eat again. It sure made me feel full . .. not really full, but like I didn't want to eat. No Diarrhea though. I'm not helpful to you, but you certainly helped me. I now know that if I'm eating too much at meals, water loading kills my appetite.

Water Loading is detailed in the pouch rules. My doctor says no water loading until after 6 months post op. Basically you drink as much water as you can in the 15 minutes prior to eating. It makes you feel more full so you will eat less. Helps with overeating and feeling satisfied. I don't do this, but I know if I don't stop drinking soon enough before supper, then I can't get in the food that I need for nutritional value.
