Default Dumping question...

Hi everyone, its been a long time since I was around. How's everyone doing?

I had a really quick question, has anyone ever experienced days where it doesn't matter what the quantity or type of food you eat, everything just causes you to dump? I am having one of those days. In the past I thought it was something I ate, but today it doesn't seem to matter what I put in my mouth everything I eat ends up making me go to the restroom as it does a sprint through my intestines. Thanks for the help guys...

I was told by my doctor that if you have a dumping, to not try to eat anything else for the rest of the day. Go back to basics, fluids and then after a few hours to try pureed food and see how that goes. But your pouch will need a rest after going through the process of dumping. You could just have an irritated pouch after something it didn't like today. I hope you feel better!! HUGS

I'm only a year out - but I do have those days - it's like my intestines need about 10 hours of no eating or drinking to recover . . . I've dumped on things I've never had problems with . . . like after eating tuna, then whole wheat crackers, then a banana . . .then been totally normal the next day.

I originally thought that, but I have had intestinal bugs in the past and they generally haven't come with the type of discomfort that I get when I dump. In this case it is such a discomfort that it feels as if I'm going to get sick from it.

Yep, it happens to me too. I can eat something for months, and then one day, it causes pain or dumping. I've just accepted it as part of my new life.

I had this three days after I came back from Mexico. NOTHING would sit well for 24 hours. With dumping, I'm done within 30 min. So, what I did, and whether this works(ed), I ate those daninn yogurts with only 60 calories. In an attempt to get my stomach ensimes(?) to get back to normal. It did correct itself the next day. How are you doing now?

I'm back to normal now. Thanx for the suggestions folks. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a me thing more than anything. It is rough for the day when it's happening, but fortunately it generally only will last a day.

Hey pal, thats not dumping. thats irritable bowels. Dumping is flu like symptoms, nausea, heavy beating heart, nausea, sweats, etc.... not diahrrea. Did you have your gall bladder taken when you had surgery? you may want to talk to your PCP about having IBS... or try treating symptoms for that... but again what you are experencing isnt dumping.

Best wishes.

Default Been there for over a year now.

How long has it been since your surgery if I might ask? I dump almost every day. Tired of being sick and tired.
