Digestion Issues
Hello All. I'm new to the forum but seven years out from Gastric Bypass surgery. I have been having a lot of digestion problems lately...gurgling, and very loud noises from my stomach. It is like you can literally hear the digestion process happening and it is so embarassing. Is anyone else here having those issues...is it a lack of some vitamin???? Please help!
Thanks,
Lysh

I've had those noises ever since the surgery
My husband swears my stomach talks to him at night. I gurgle constantly, and have now for a year and a half...

hi! I am almost one year out (3 days to go) and my gut has always made noises. In fact it was so bad last night it woke me up. My doctor says its normal. Some people just have more active guts than others I guess. Welcome to the forum!

Thanks
Just the fact of knowing I'm not alone makes me feel a lot better! And thanks for the warm welcoming.

You are not alone!
In fact my stomach is going crazy right now! I'm just drinking coffee too.
This is kind of gross, not sure if anyone else has this problem....but I get bouts of "intestinal" problems every few weeks.....it's terrible, feel like I'm going to die (while on the toilet). There doesn't seem to be anything that I can link to it either...wierd. (sorry if that was too much info!).

Im only 6 months out but my only complaint so far is too much intestinal gas and loose BMs. I still rely heavily on Gas X strips for the gas and the introduction of more fiber in my diet has improved the BM problems. As far as noise goes - I think its a part of our lives now - my wife is 8 years out and I can still clearly hear her stomach at work when I am lying next to her.

Thanks Meaghan and Mila
I have been trying to take gas pills...my choice being phazyme and fiber pills pretty regularly and I do notice a slight decrease in the noise...I think I just might be more self consious about it then I need to be...and the more I stress about it the louder the noises become...lol...oh well it sounds like I'm not alone...
