Hi everybody ! I go in tomorrow for pre op testing before I get my hernia repair and abdominplasty (sp) It is scheduled for Feb. 5 and I getting kind of nervous. I am just hoping that I don't get an infection like I did with the RNY and I plan on being my own advocate when it comes to me being in the hospital. Last time I was "nice" I waited two hours before complaining about getting my pain meds....NOT THIS TIME ! I've learned...I will post before I go in..

Hi Sandy -

Please post how everything goes - I will be having my hernia repair/TT in the beginning of March. All they want from me is a chest Xray/EKG and then to donate my autologus blood and have a blood draw before...well, that and the bowel prep

Unfortunetly my hernia has to be repaired before my Gastric bypass surgery. I have not stragulation but the other one. I have started to bleed from my bowel and so they decided it best to repair it now. I go friday the 20 of this month. The only thing that really sucks is that they may not be able to do my Gastric bypass until Ocyober. Becasue they have to wait 6 months after an open surgery.
