Default SIL on prescription diet pills after GBS

My Sister in Law after getting GBS 4 years ago is gaining so much weight her doctor has put her on weight loss drugs. She is an emotional eater and with every pound she gains the more worried she gets. Myself I had GBS 18 months ago and was at a low of 185, got to 210 and now at 200. The struggle is never over.

I feel both your pain I plateau a few months ago and talked about this with my fiance. She kept me on check - so far this is helping for me. We do a lot of heart to heart talking so that I can air things out.

I am only a year out (as of this week). But I can feel your struggle. I have had to be vigilant since about 6-8 months out. Luckily, at 6 I couldn't eat enough to stop losing......then by the time I could, I had reigned myself in to making better and healthier choices. So far that has worked, but I also had to head to counseling (after eating til I threw up 2 times in a week or so), went back to AlAnon, joined a Fitness Center, and basically just hit the thing from every angle I could think to. But boy is it work sometimes. Then other days I sail smoothly. I wish you both continued success. Tell your SIL about us and we'll try and help encourage her. Hang in there......we're with you.
